It wasn't the offense, it was specifically Zak Keasey. Hill was waiting for Vernon to get open (and he said Vernon DID get open as he was getting sacked) and dumbass Zak Keasey let a defender blow right by him. He didn't even touch the guy until he pushed him right into Hill for the sack. Keasey is a fuckin joke.
I said the same shit to agree 100% glad he broke his forearm..

all in all not a bad game. Offense will take some time t gel because it's a whole new system with a new qb in place, it's going to take most of preseason tyo get it together, so I am not to worried about the 3 picks right now. O-line still looked effective, and on defense I seen some things I liked that are a major improvement over last year. D line got some pressure and some sacks. Tackeling is still an issue as is giving up 1st downs on 3rd and long, but over all Niners didnt score as many points as they should have and the d showed it is moving up not backwards which is one thing I was looking for.

Keasey has no business on this team, but I'm never glad to see someone get hurt. That's just fucked up. It's not his fault he's still on the team, that's McCloughan's fault. He's simply not good enough to ever see the field, yet the front office keeps him around. Dude is not even our 3rd best FB. He should have been cut 2 years ago when they saw what he brings to the table: nothing.

I HATE KEASEY. I WISH CLAYTON DIDNT GET HURT THO
I like Thomas Clayton, but he was just taking up room on the practice squad. They never gave him a chance to get some carries in the regular season. He's looked good in the past against other teams' 1st string defenses (during preseason) so I was hoping he would get a shot to get some carries over scrubs like Michael Robinson, but it never happened. Michael Robinson is our most worthless RB and is only kept around because he's a good on special teams. That's not enough for him to stick around, in my opinion. The guy can't find a hole to save his life. He's slow, and for how big he is, he runs with very little power. People think he'll be good in the wildcat, but you have to be a running threat for that shit to work and he is far from a threat. Not to mention he took the majority of the snaps from our sorry ass wildcat formation last year and failed miserably every single time. He's a decent blocker and he's decent out of the backfield, but those two qualities aren't very hard to find in a RB anymore. He's not stellar at anything he does. It's time to move away from mediocrity and see what we have in guys like Sheets and Clayton (even though Clayton has been waived, he might be back next season). We're wasting our time with guys like Robinson and Battle. Give me Sheets and Zeigler instead. At least we don't know what we have in those guys yet. We know we don't have SHIT in Robinson and Battle.

49ers' Willis returns to practice after battling injuries

Associated Press

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- San Francisco 49ers Pro Bowl linebacker Patrick Willis was back Monday after missing 22 practices with an ankle and Achilles injury.

Willis, who suffered the injury during a drill, only participated in individual drills as the team's trainers ease him in slowly.

Willis said he wanted to return far sooner.

"If it was up to me, I would try to go the next day I hurt it," Willis said. "But I didn't want to let my pride and ego hurt the team."

Among other things, Willis needs time to practice with the radio coaches want him to wear inside his helmet this season so he can communicate with defensive coordinator Greg Manusky. Willis experimented briefly with the radio last year, but then relinquished it to veteran safety Mark Roman. Roman has since lost his starter's spot.

"I want the headset," Willis said. "I break the huddle, I call the play, it's my show to run."

Even though Willis has missed time, he has nonetheless been a daily presence at practices, ducking into huddles, calling defenses and watching even the second- and third-team units.
