i totally agree with ya on that man,but the side problem often these days is that the little fucks that do download dont go out and buy the album.Respect the artist,and i know people will say but tech's FTI imo FTI was an idea to introduce someone,and if u u like,go out and buy,dont make ftp's and shit like homey above me said.
i dont think of tech n9ne as a god or anyting for that matter, but i do personally buy his material he releases...
i might let people preview the tracks i get but i dont actually leak them out everywhere.... there are just people you cant trust on the internet and spread full versions of songs
think of how system of a down felt a few years ago when someone stole a cd from their studio and released it... it sucks but it happens
you would not think much of downloading that advance system cd, but they also have die hard fans who get pissed off at people posting the songs and vise versa with tech

Well when you're the only one that people can put a name to when a song is leaked what do you expect.
I haven't heard of anyone else having Sleeping Beauty before this week.

The reason this shit is such a big deal is....someone stole the shit. Why is that cool? If you're the source or not you're still part of the problem.
This isn't like....leaking 2 weeks before the album comes out. It's months. And i've heard rummors that people had songs for over a year.
This aint FTI....this is FT9. The man aint even got a record deal yet for the album and already 1/3 of the songs are supposedly leaked.
If you're not concerned about that then maybe you need to re-evaluate your shit.
Thats basically the bottom line. Tech made one crazy move in letting people get AP for free... for a limited period of time... and it ended up a winning situation with what seemed to be a suicide gamble (refer T9X) in theory. But, that doesnt mean that because he did that shit once that it makes him a hypocrite for not giving away the rest of his fuckin albums.

It works both ways, and now when it's pertaining to Tech no one wants to play the Devils Advocate, but Tormentid is right... This shit happens to everyone all the time, and Tech is no exception. If we would've said Mac Lethals album was leaked and it aint due out until May, then yall would be the first to say, "Who gives a fuck!" or "Shit happens, Mac isn't special nor an exception to the rules of the pirating industry!" That's being straight two sided... That's where I come in the picture, when it hits home then yall give two shits. Is that what people on Strange Music Forum prides themselves on???
I'm not justifying the pirating at all, but thats life and now that Roberthoe mentioned that it will keep him from getting a deal, everyone followed and started shooting tha shit to the suspected parties. If a leaked album is going to kill the deal, then Tech doesn't need to be fucking with them anyways. I think at any given moment there cant be more than 100 people that has leaked tracks of Tech's...
...on a good note, 97.9% of those that fight and claw themselves to a few leaked tracks regardless of the outcome are die hard fans and they will go out and support Tech quicker than any of us on here regardless. That's the good thing.

i never thought free promotion would hurt album sales... mtv.com puts up full albums a week before they drop and if that cd has not already leaked yet someone will make them into mp3s and spread it on the net... does that hurt?
i actually used to give out a lot of mp3s, but i grew out of that stage a years ago
you dont see me on IRC having a fserv or xdcc shit up....
when is the last time i actually posted a mp3 on this message board w/o being told to post it??? i used to give out the collabs to some songs just cuz i knew i would not want to buy them cds, shit i been burned buying cds just cuz they have one collab on them
i dont know where i'm going with this, but to me it sounds like people are trying to say something toward me

bootleggin and have shit leak is fucked up ya, but at the same time its one of the things that come with the rap game. it always happen when an artist is about to drop a new joint, i remember when one of eminem's cds was about to drop, i knew dudes that had the whole cd downloaded to their computer like a month before that shit dropped. on that other forum you have peeps talk about they have 8 songs and shit like that, thinkin they are better than everybody cuz they have that shit. sucks cuz we can't do shit about, except to go out and buy the cd. cuz for us real music fans we all know that there isnt anything like havin the real thing. its kinda like good and bad thing, the bad being it could hurt techs sales and shit and the good being that it could turn more people towards tech. but who knows whats gonna happen, just have to wait and see.
