when i was in the service i got alot of shit for saying hella all the time, It tripped me out that it was just a norcal thing. i seriously didn't know we were the only ones that used that word.

When I moved from SoCal to the Bay for school, every non-bay native in my group had an agreement. If you said hella, you got hit. It was a way for us to discourage bad habits.

Same with when I was in the Army. Anyone of my friends caught saying "Hooah" as a filler in their sentences got hit. Shit was really fucking retarded in the army, people would sprinkle that non-word all over their statements "Let's go out and get fucked up, Hooah!" It was almost like some people replaced their periods and exclamation marks with it. "Time to get some dinner, Hooah" Shit made no sense.
