tha man is speaking right now! I honestly feel this is a good direction for this team, no major coaching changes, and we got a REAL Xs and Os guy runnin tha show! 6-0 in tha West last season, this time around hopefully this team will win tha extra 2 or 3 games they couldnt last season.. and we actually rep tha AFC WEST well in tha playoffs

Hue answered tha ? I wanted answered most, He's going to remain playcaller of this team.. good shit! Now lets go grab Al Saunders as OC

Yeah I am watching. And Al isn't a wacko. Far from it.

He's sharp as a fox. He might look like hell but he knows exactly what he's doing.

Well there was something he said I didn't like....

How he wants his team to be like it was in the 80's ... This is why the team can't move on, he still wants to run the team like that. He needs to stop and let it be for what it is today..

They're mos def in the right direction as far as coaching staff....

but I don't know man, lots of free agents are planning on leaving...

who's gonna be the raiders DC?

Al Davis takes aim at Tom Cable

Raiders owner Al Davis is now two-for-two when it comes to public takedowns of a fired head coach. In September 2008, it was Lane Kiffin.

In January 2011, it’s Tom Cable.

Davis unloaded on the man who led the Raiders to their first non-losing season since 2002 in the press conference introducing Hue Jackson as the possibly the next man to be publicly chastised by Davis after being fired.

As detailed by the San Francisco Chronicle (we’ve also got a snippet of the performance, thanks to our friends at NBCSports.com), Davis turned to the topic of Cable as the press conference seemed to be winding down. Davis cited the Randy Hansen incident, explaining that during an August 2009 meeting with Cable and other coaches, “Randy’s jaw was broken, to this day nobody is sure how it was broken.”

Davis also said that “[w]e had a spouse accuse the head coach of personal relations that were not good,” that the Raiders faced a lawsuit from a woman who claimed that Cable mistreated her, that Cable was “flying in friends so they could be with them the night before the game.” (The over/under on comments containing the phrase “lay some cable” or a variation thereof is 23.5.)

“I just wasn’t going to take it anymore,” Davis said regarding the decision not to pick up an option in Cable’s contract.

Davis also confirmed that he withheld $120,000 in pay from Cable, who reportedly has filed a grievance with the league office to force the payment of the money.
