and let me clarify...i don't think he said that this thing will probably cause the end of the world, but something more along the lines of: this thing is more likely to cause the end of the world than any other possible factor right now...

acquiring knowledge and experiencing intelligence are different, imo.
ex: of course i could memorize stupid shit like equations, definitions and how to 'logically' do stuff, but then i could be human and not be some stupid robot and use my mind to develop other outcomes and ways to get to conclusions rather than ONLY use that one memorized way.
i know plenty of people w/ 4.0 or higher GPA's that lack common sense and any REAL intellect and understanding.

btw IQ is just one type of test, its not the only and most important test, its only regarded as that because of the type of rat race society we have built around science and mathematics.

so really dude isn't one to say over anyone else, IMO, of course.

the black holes are like a nanometer big and last for about a nanosecond so there is really nothing to worry about. the main thing to worry about is that if they don't find the particles they think they should find, they are pretty much going to have to throw out 99% of what we know about particle physics.

Fearing end of world, girl commits suicide in Madhya Pradesh

INDORE: A 16-year-old girl in Madhya Pradesh allegedly committed suicide after watching news on channels about possibility of the end of earth following the atom-smasher experiment in Geneva that began on Wednesday.

Chhaya, a resident of Sarangpur town in Rajgarh district, consumed sulphos tablets (an insecticide) yesterday, her parents said.

The girl was rushed to Indore's MY Hospital where she succumbed on Wednesday.

Her parents told reporters she was watching about the world's biggest atom-smasher experiment in Geneva on news channels since the last two days following which she got restless and ended her life.

Police have registered a case in this regard and further probe was on.

The experiment is being carried out to recreate the birth of universe and unlock its secrets. Scientists have rubbished reports of threat to the planet due to the experiment.
