When Lil Wayne declared himself "The Best of Anything", Hip-Hop shouldv'e declared a "State of Emergency". Lil Wayne wasn't even the best artist on the Cash Money Records roster, now he's the "Best Rapper Alive, since the Best Rapper Retired". I knew I had outgrown Rap music, as a man, when I heard this statement. Now, I will only give a listen to rap music that my 11, 9, and 3 year old son's think is tight. BTW they don't fuck with Lil Wayne......and I don't fuck with SoulJa Boy. Ol'skool R&B, Reggae, and a lil Blues and I'm cool. I'll never buy another "RaP" album.
He didnt fall off he actually worth even more now then he ever was. he even on rock and country award shows. IMO he made a tranformation from only urban to a different crowds(the white pop/rock audience)
Sometimes you gotta do shit like that(example 50 cent, T.I., kanye, eminem, Bone Thugs, Three Six Mafia, Timbaland, Neptunes, The Clipse, Nelly, Jay-z, Diddy, Snoop Dogg)to set it off and stay relevent and making major money in the game.

like when andre did his thing on the love below..its like it was weird but i fucked with it....like protoype, and roses, those were slaps...he was being weird but it worked
i think i pride myself with being hella openminded with this music shit but no matter how many times ive heard that new kanye, shit just makes me fucking frown. i dont think waynes ego would allow him to make a proper rock album.

That Love Below was teh shit though, I remember i liked it the second time i listened.
Kanye isnt the same person(he even got a fucked up haircut, he rocking that that Billy Ocean gheri curl box) I think he had a nervous breakdown when his mother passed away.
I like his 808's album alot bc the beats are pretty clever to me. specially on new years when i was drunk i heard heartless and the beat was sounding even better to me. But he def is on some other shit. he needs to drop one last rap album before he goes fully r&b like he doing.
Yall know the face of music changed if Usher didnt go platinum the first 4 months.
