Isn't it odd that that Town Bizzness cut just up and disapeared from kmel and wild 94.9? That was one of their main songs and the people was obviously feeling it so why? Well B.A. went on to the new station 92.7 and did an on air interview and from that day foreward that song was banned from the two Clear Channel stations...that's some industry political bullshit. Why would you suficate a song from the bay like that? I see Lil Flip is still getting his spins and he endorses the new station...so does many other MAJOR LABEL artist. So why shit on the LOCAL artist that need your help more than anyone? And it gets way deeper then this when it comes to the radio game in the Bay...I know everybody thinks it's all love right now cause you have bay artist getting spins right now, but trust me Clear Channel stations know their power, the P.D's know they have local artist balls in their hand and if that other station folded today out of the blue KMEL more so then WILD would chnge their format and X-out all of this bay love. :dead:

Don't get it twisted bay area artist use this to your advantage and make a bigger situation for yourself. Just make sure you watch out for the crazy shit that goes on in this market. The bay area is one of the top 5 markets in the country and kmel and wild 94.9 is Clear Channels premire stations on the West Coast...they make BIG money off of their play list slots...payola is real and don't let them tell you it's not. But, but politics are bigger then money and right now the politics are in the bay's favor. So make good music and make a difference.
Maybe you heard one of the many Lil Jon ripps going on right now all over the country. This is becoming a big problem. Town Bizzness, The Teams Hot In Here, even that horrible Houston song I Like Dat are all based on the Lil Jon formula and it is only making the south look stronger and stronger. I know people have to do what they have to do, but don't sale ya self short your original matterial will win...if it's quality music.

Basically... im kinda sick of repeating myself... but yeh props on all them bay artists and what they doing, really opend my ear too alot of artists, and as far as me playing kmel ripped songs, i really dont care what we play and who's rips is on it... i might play edited songs... whatever is avail i play... but yeh once mo gin... if it wasnt for 92.7 there wouldnt be alot of the stuff u hear on clear channel radio theese days... take it as u may... peace

when i came on KMEL in 2001 (3 YEARS AGO) my FIRST mix had SYDEWAYS, COME ON In and some other bay stuff...The E40 Grindin Mix was 2002, Welcome to the BAy by Done Deal was before that..we fought with management to play Give it Up and Automatic by Quinn & 40 back in 2002...WE MADE WHO U WID for QUINN AND SKI... all this waaaay before any other station was ever conceived of... so SLY, whoever the fuck u are...shut ur fuckin mouth....I been a FAN iof the BAY music since i was little....got CASETTES of shit i used to bump at skool...IMP, APG Crew, Big Ocean Mob, 415...I been a fan, so dont u fuckin say that anything I feel or play is cuz of some other reasons...I PLAY BAY SHIT CUZ I LOVE IT..and thjats the fuckin truth..u dont like..come see me...u know where im at...did u even work hgere? i been at wild since 96, i dont remember u EVER..
