i work at the port of oakland pulling shit for u.s customs for exams and most everything i pull comes from china
theres only a certain amount of shit u guys can ship out here tho so u chinese bastards try and cheat and ship ur shit to a difrent country then ship it from there to the u.s and thats where i come im

Lol. Actually the Chinese customs are quite strict. I just had an order for wooden toys and had to declare it as hanging decoration to get it out. Luckily the customs didn't check. Nothing wrong with the goods, they pass all the tests etc., but right now wooden toys are only allowed to be exported by factories with certain licenses, and most don't have those.
But as I sell to certain customers, I have to have good quality goods, otherwise I loose not even the customer, but also money due to claims. So tests and certifications for different materials etc. are normal. We ship mostly to Germany, and the standards are the highest there...

yea other countrys are less strict then the u.s when it comes to importing
people make the mistake of shipping untreated wood here and they end up spending thousands of dollars re-exporting that shit out since its not allowd here
theres hella other shit that can fuck ur whole shit up
like if they find one little tiny bug in a huge 45ft container then ur whoooooole shit is getting put on hold by customs

Yeah, also deal with that shit. When I was still in Germany I worked in the purchasing department of my former company and I've seen some weird shit arrive lol. Once we got a full container with wooden furniture, and they were fumigated before shipment + the factory used some bad paint. Our warehouse guys that opened the container and started to get the ctns out got fuckin sick in no time...

I moved from modesto, ca to lakewood, wa. Found a job at an aerospace parts/assembly manufacturer (supplier for Boeing, Sikorsky, Vought, & Gulfstream). My wage is higher then they were working in Modesto, my commute is short, and my coworkers are cool. Been there for a year and I like it a lot. The only downside is I don't get to see my family as often as I wish. The weather could be better but I've adjusted pretty well considering all the sun i was soaking in back in CA.
