I think Marvin could still be a contributor and a starting receiver for the Eagles....that would be the best spot for him....his days in Indy were numbered, partly because of the change of style in the Colts offense....they were no longer flying under the radar of opposing teams and were short on weapons as well...This is also a result of Marvins off field problems and that's without question.....His quiet demeanor was a good fit with Tony Dungys' leadership, but his attitude was not going to be welcomed when there is definetly going to be a retooling this offseason..The Colts need to humble themselves to compete in the AFC, overall this is the best move for both sides...I think it was hard for Marvin to see the younger receivers eclipse him on the field

lol neither Peyton or Harrison choked in the playoffs. They never had a great all around team mainly because there defense has been a liability. Like i said in another thread give P. Manning a defense like the Steelers have or even what the Patriots use to have and he would have like 5 superbowl rings by now.

Colts need make Reggie Wayne the #1 and Gonzalez #2 and im sure they could find some other decent receiver to be the #3 but these past 2 seasons they couldnt really look for that 3rd receiver and Harrison really was taken up the #1 slot and not playing to that ability these past 2 seasons.

Their D was hella wack, but Peyton didn't play like he did in the regular season. Also, their D did step up in the playoffs for that SB run. Peyton , other than the SB hasn't really won the BIG games in college or NFL. Tee Martin won that Championship, not Peyton. And in the NFL it's usually a great D or offense. Rarely do teams have both.

^^^ good point, the Colts offense wasnt that great this past season. they had no running game and you could just tell that the passing game just wasnt the same. All i know is in either the 2004 or 2005 Afc championship game the Patriots D for real raped the Colts receivers and there were no penalties called, that was the last year refs allowed that much contact and generally a great defensive team usually will beat the great offensive team.

Man, I had Joseph Addai's gayass on my fantasy team. What a waste of a first rounder. Don't even get me started on them damn Pats. Those fuckers. I'm glad they lost the SB, karma is a bitch.

I hate Owens the most he's the biggest bitch...!
Moss is better but still quits on teams/plays
Marvin Harrison was not as gifted as those two recievers but was better cuz he never complains.....
