Fireal...I used to be a BIG fan back in the day. I pretty much got all of 'em when they were strictly underground west coast shit (Gumbo Mixes 1-12). A lot of the later ones began to have a mix of every where(midwest/southern) and I know the ones that just recently came out have hella radio shit on them and that's why I quit fuckin' with them. Good to see he's out and about though...I still needa cop one of them old schools one's for the collection.

i got one where he comes in with d-hot "call me on the unda" then flips it to erka badu...then comes in with some 2short...at the time it was preety much cutting edge to me to takin the nonradio cuts like that and mixin it wit some heavy billboard albums...and servin em on tapes..

towards 2000 he teamed up with another dj...and they started droppin oint ventures...

i copped my first on market and like 6th they had this record store..where the cd's where up on the wall underneath some glass....they had turntables and what not..the name escapes me at the moment..

Ya'll need to check out the new Gumbomix 21 & 22. Both of 'em got a CD and a DVD. Them fools is mixing videos now! Macadocious Nutt got a new DJ that gets down with him now named DJ Skratch and a cat named Mastermind1x that I think mixes the videos. The shit is tiiiiiight. They on some other shit for real.

DAMN THE GUMBO MIXES HAVE GONE WAY DOWNHILL SINCE THE EARLY GUMBO MIX DAYS. THEY PUT 50 SNITCH ON TWO OF THEY COVERS. IT USED TO BE WAY MORE BAY AREA REPRESENTATION COMING FROM THOSE MIXES.
