people always rep where theyre from, not where they live...where u live when ur grown doesnt make u who u are

Lock is a beast and you gotta think Dude had the distinct of being able to follow a large body of work and a shit load of hot Frontline music to pick through AND LOCK STILL WON! I'ma keep saying it THE FRONTLINE is one of the only grops that can make Serious mainstream singles and dominate radio, battle on the underground and make socially concise music with a message. With that said Passwurdz was cool, but Locksmith word for word got in his ass.

dont get me wrong, locksmith is a beast, one of my favorite battle rappers, but in this battle he just didnt come wit it...the best battle rapper right now from the bay is The Saurus (he might be from monterey bay, but he got known in oakland)

It was good to see a note worthy Bay Area rapper with the balls to put his reputation on the line against a an up and coming artist. Locksmith did what ALL OF THE OTHER BATTLE RAPPERS wish they could do. He made it out of the "battle circuit" with a career that allows him to not just depend on his reputation as a punchline machine. The battle was good, but to be honest I'm ready to hear some new studio material from Locksmith. That last Frontline album was one of the best albums pound for pound to come out that year.

News flash...Mook, Jones, Math, Iron...they ALL spit pre inspired rymes. Mook spits exactly the same rymes at multiple cats. This is what this brand of battle rap is about. Good battle rappers are prepared for battle- not luck.

i know they all write their shit before the actual battle...its just sad that locksmith used pre written rhymes that werent that strong IMO...but obviously he didnt need anything amazing to beat that guy haha

Lol...since Locksmith is peeking on here maybe he can give up the update on what's good with The Frontline's new shit. It's been a minute, so I know it's some sick shit.

I'mma try not to be bias, but I still think Lock won the battle. Passwordz was clean too, and some of the arab jokes had me rollin'. But he stumbled at the end of the last two rounds and wasnt rhyming at some points. Lock came wit it all three rounds though. It was close. If other dude didnt mess up and was more serious, he coulda won.
