Yeah!! They're basically on some weird techno hip-hop shit, it's cool but reel weird at the same time!!! Well it's clear to say hip-hop is constantly evolving & so far new hip-hop & rap genres are barely establishing..........................

Anyways, I'm still willing to hear more from the UK and the rest of Europe, so any rappers on that dark, medieval tip that anyone here knows about??????

The only one of those artists ive heard is Lady Soveriegn and personally I dont see what all the hype is about with her. She is a MIA copy and garbage IMO, Id rather listen to Gwen Stefani...

Grime artists i recommend are: Nasty Crew, Hartless crew, D double E ( best grime artist in my opinion been holding it down for years) & Newham Generals, Kano.

average groups are:Willie Cat & Rolldeep, Dizzee Rascal (He was better b4 getting signed), Mr wong (funny chinese guy), Flirter D.

Lady Soveriegn is trash and only go signed to def jam cos shes a marketable white girl with black friends so has a little credability aswell. basicly the vanilla ice of grime.

If you go to any uk urban music site youll get a list of hundreds but only about 10 or 15 have albums its all about live shows and radio sessions really.

I prefer bay shit myself, nowadays everyone and their uncle is a grime artist where i live.

I'm not feeling any of the stuff I've heard so far at all but that's only been The Streets, Lady Sovereign and Dizzie Rascal. I want to punch someone in the throat every time that Lady Sovereign song comes on. That shit is annoying as fuck.

As i said i prefer bay area rap myself but the artists named are the best in the biz if you are interested in grime. But unfortunatly none of the best ones have albums apart from Kano ( download it first ), every one else only has songs on myspace. Roll deep have an album but their flows are weak compaired to any us rapper and the beats are all abit weak.

Roots manuva isnt grime he is more uk hiphop along with the streets, both have albums but not there are really not my thing. Check out that Kano album and look for D Double E on myspace, they are the only artists i can recommend. (hartless crews album is less grime more old skool uk garage.)

Hope that helps. One thing i will say about grime is that it is ridiculesly violent and has little veriaty bar a few artists (Kano,Streets, D Double E).

Even though I live in London, or maybe because of that, i ain't feelin that grime bullshit, at all. Well Kano and Streets are sligtly OK, they sounds inovative(u can't really brand Streets rap, though), but the rest are just the same garage/house bullshit brits been listening for years. And that D. Rascal maybe on the new UGK album :siccness:

Old skool garage is cool imo, thats the shit i first started raving to when i was young sneaking in to clubs and shit. But grime is much more darker and violent and whats worse is the mcs are either fake as hell or have no talent so only the beats are listenable really.

best album is the first 'original prirate material', the rest are wack imo.
What album is Blinded by the lights on, that shit is pretty tight and i heard a bunch of other songs offa the same album that were cool to. I just like it cuz its different from all the gangster shit i generally listen to, I'd like to hear some of the best from that genre. I dig that British slang

and you may not like lady soveriegn for her voice or somthing like that but if you are a good fan of talented music then you'll know why shes marketable. she is talented. even if i dont like her music i still respect what she dose cause shes good at it.
