GUESS WHAT? i copped it and i was surprised. THIS ALBUM IS WORTH THE MONEY. or worth a good download.

i was skeptical at first about buying but i was like fuck it 13.99 aint shit. popped and was surprised, thought it was gonna suck but it didnt. killa c may be skippable at times or most, but la definetly holds it down. theres 2tracks with la and no killa c so that may help out. then theres another 2track with killa c. the PRODUCTION is a real strong point as strange music hooks up some dirty/dark producion on here. some of the tracks sound weak too. the features really helped out this album. Haystak,Spice,Tech & Lynch all shine on each featured track. man Krizz really sounds tight with his opera hooks on the dark "murda iz tha time." listen to the posse cut "in the streets", theres no killa c on it but la completely murders everybody on this track from the hook to his verse/flows.

rating i'd give it a 3-3.5 outta 5. production really shines. they have good chemistry when they trade verses together or trade parts of the hooks ex: "killa season" l.a was the standout. if this were a l.a solo album the rating might've been different. killa c needs to step it up.some of his verses were actually tolerable. thankfully he doesnt sound too weak on "snap." seems like he tried to hang on the mic with tech and la. give it a try. u may be surprised.

The first half of the album (1-10) is mediocre at best, but the second half had me out of my chair or laughing at times. I liked the second half of this album better than the second half of Vitiligo...which is saying alot cuz i enjoyed vitiligo very much. Skat and Snug, Kutt, Haystak, Kaliko,Tech, and Lynch all came hard. All the rock-like songs on here are above average compared to the rest of the album. Killa c definately stepped his game up from his previous solo albums. SNAP for lack of better terminology.... is a clusterfuck of awesome. Oh and i got it off iTunes for $9.99 =D

Ehhh..few good songs here and there. More weak songs then good. It was better than I imagined...but you can't really be disappointed when you expect the cd to be shit. Gayplott gets a 2 out of 5.

*puts Bob Marley's "Legends" cd back on*

Now this is good music....

I'll admit that I kind of have to eat my words.... This isn't shit that I'd throw out the window. I'd just put it in a cd holder for when the mood strikes. Much better than I had expected.

even if killa c may not be up to par with la and everyone else, the production makes up for his weak rhymes. his best verse may be on "snap." comon haters talk more shit on this album. besides killa c's skills this album completely sucks right?? the beats and rhymes and features do no justice right??? strange gave some weak production right?? la the so-called better half couldn't save this album right?? not worth listening/buying/downloading righhht???

Good God....You went from bad to worse. I've listened to CBtS twice in the three years I've owned it. Once when I bought it, and twice when I got drunk and put the wrong cd in.

Are you serious?? Calm Before The Storm is THE SHIT. To each his own I guess, but I LOVE CBTS. I'd implore you to give it another listen, but that's just not in your nature mister stubborn.
:cheeky:

I'm only half stubborn. I think I lost the cd. Tempest was ok, but switching up the gimmick fucked it for me. I was all braced up for a storm and what I get is a badly photoshopped roller coaster.
