Gimmick to sell more records. Both 50/Kanye will benefit because idiots will buy their favorite artists album to make sure they help that person be the "winner."

This stupid mothaf*cka at BESTBUY yesterday asked me which one I was getting and I told him both cuz I've been listening to them both since they
1st came out. He was kind of shocked that I was "supporting" both of them and I told him that sh*t wasn't nothing but a marketing ploy.

People think this is the 1st time two major rap artists released on the same day. WRONG!!! I remember in 2004 when SNOOP, JAY Z, PAC, & FAT JOE all dropped on the same day in NOVEMBER. It's not that big of a deal.

Psychology and marketing go hand in hand... I personally think Kanye sucks and would love to knock cuzz out for some reason, but I think he will sell more, because he is a producer by trade and all muthafuckas really buy today is image and beats anyway.

Yep, that's right. It's actually pretty smart from a marketing standpoint.

Kanye West looks to top next week's The Billboard 200 chart, according to results that will be posted later today (Sept. 12) on Nielsen SoundScan's new Building Charts feature.

All eyes are on the Sept. 11 album schedule, with anticipated new releases by West, 50 Cent and Kenny Chesney. SoundScan's recently launched Building Charts post unweighted tracking-week sales from eight leading accounts through close of Tuesday each Wednesday at 5 p.m. ET, and sales through Thursday each Friday afternoon.

Billboard has learned that today's SoundScan Building Chart indicates first-day sales of 437,000 for West's "Graduation," 310,000 for 50 Cent's "Curtis" and 107,000 for Chesney's "Just Who I Am: Poets and Pirates." The Building Charts offer an indication of how races shape up each week for SoundScan's final charts, which post projected national sales each Wednesday morning, extrapolated from a panel of merchants that represents more than 90% of the U.S. music market.

Retailers now contributing data to the Building Charts include Trans World Entertainment, Best Buy, Borders, Circuit City, iTunes, Target, Anderson Merchandisers and Handleman Co. The last two mentioned are rackjobbers that place music into mass merchants, including WalMart's stores. More retailers will be added to that panel in the near future.

50 cent album was weak..his albums get weaker and weaker... kanye album was ok..better then 50s
I feel the same way. I think T.I.'s shit was better than both of them. 50 needs to step his content and subject matter up. He says that people that rap with intelligence are turning fans off, so he's sayin we're all stupid. He's not stupid though. I think dude is hella intelligent, but he's still rappin about that stupid shit. He aint shootin niggaz no more (if he ever has). But he's made it, and I don't think he has the same passion for music, and Kanye does, and that's why I think his album is better.

Just listened to all three, and I agree 100%...
