Your one fucking wierd man, Heresy. Are you trying to make a competition out of this or what? You keep going on and on about how you can turn a snare into this and that, yada yada, who really gives a fuck man, it's nothing genius. Your sounds will not work for Hiphop or RnB, perhaps only for some corny electro shit. Anyways, no one told you to do this shit in the first place. Quit showing off. Go bang on a snare,.... buddy.

LOL, your a trip though, for reals.

HE MADE HIS POINT AND YOU HERE BITCHIN' CAUSE YOU LIKE YOUR SHIT PRE-MADE AND DON'T HAVE THE SKILLS OF A REAL BEAT MAKER THAT CAN MANIPULATE WHATEVA SOUND AND BE ORIgINAL WITH IT. I gOT $51 THAT HERESY CAN MAKE A TIgHTER BEAT(TRACCED OUT AND PROFESSIONALLY MIXXED AND COMPRESSED) THAN WHAT YOU ARE CAPABLE OF.

i made a good soundin kick from that snare too heresy... im not sure if its the same technique, but honestly, i like to make my own drums also... i mean, i DO also use premade sounds, but creating your own sounds is an essential skill for a producer that wants to make a name for himself/make money in this industry..

good shit heresy

It is obvious that I thouched a nerve and now you are the one that is upset. I keep telling you to do what you and if something works for you to do it. Now, I want you to realize that any sound I use CAN work for hip hop, any sound I can CREATE can work for hip hop, and the ascap checks prove it. You wanna hear a weak sounding kit? Listen to the song TERRORIST THREATS by the west side connection. Do ANY drums hit in that song? Hardly, yet the song is the TITLE of the album and they pushed more copies than you ever will. You are the one saying you can do this and that, or this works and that doesn't work. My only point was to take an acoustic snare and make it so it would not be recognized. The settings I posted CAN be changed to suit a persons TASTE you dumbfuck. I take the same snare tweek it a different way and come up with something totally different. You are limited, I am not, end of discussion. :dead:

BTW, Banging on that acoustic snare just paid for my pre ordered MOTIF XS that will be shipped in may. Can you buy that? Of course you can. :hurt:

oh yeah, the few electro tracks I cranked out are helping to pay my tution through law or pyschology school. Can you buy that? Ouch.

Good thread, this just inspired me to do some snare flipping myself. Got a bassy kick drum out of it. If you've been making beats for a while and tweaking your own sounds it's not really a big deal. All in good fun.
The first thing you hear is the OG snare the rest is what I got when I flipped it.

Na, na, na, your WRONG, IDIOT. You were the one that started it all. To begin with, I simply asked a couple of questions about good percussion samples, you then suggested some, I told you they were OK, but not to my personal preference for the HipHop/RnB I like to make since they sound too live/acoustic, therefore you then start to get butt hurt for some odd reason and try to prove that those sounds are indeed good for hiphop/anything, then out of no where you bring up how you have the ability to morph a snare into pretty much any percussion sound to try to counter act what I said, OK whatever, then I and Mr. Samos then explain to you that the sounds you created were not up to "OUR" expectations for Hiphop since they sound too dull, we simply stated our opinions, you then proceed to call us "ILLITERATE FUCKS," (see page2) for me right there that was the beginning of the disrespect, but if you notice in my next post I didn't fire back right away with cuss words and anger like you did, I just keep simply stating that I like to use sounds that sound good right out of the box and I like to manipulate them from there (reason being, it saves me time and less steps), the conversation should have ended right there, but it didn't, you then again call me an "illiterate fuckup" out of no where (see page3) after I simply stated my adult non-offensive opinion about your sound morphing of the snare. Then finally after all that verbal heat you displayed towards me and Mr. Samos I finally displayed some on that same page3 against you. Now to sum it all up, my point is YOU were the one that started this all. It's funny how you also keep talking about getting PAID, your job, money issues and such, pretty irrelevant shit. Your just a fucking showoff, simple as that.

Anytime I have to constantly repeat myself, and explain the same thing over and over, I come to the conclusion that the other person is illiterate, acting like a fuck up on purpose or simply can't comprehend anything worth comprehending. I kept telling you that ANYTHING can be manipulated and used in hip hop production. Go back and read how many times I told you to do what works best for YOU. Go back and read how many times I specifically told you that there is nothing wrong with what you're doing? I said that in damn near every post I made but somehow you keep missing it. So yes, you are an illiterate fuck.

And listen, when you try to insult someone make sure you have all your bases covered. Your feeble attempt at insulting me simply opened the doors for me to tell you how it really is, dummy. You can sit up here and say "that doesn't work for hip hop and you can't use this" but the truth is I get PAID from hip hop. Do you? At the end of the day THAT is the ONLY question that matters. I had to tell you several times that I MEANT for those sounds to sound dull because I wanted them to sound entirely DIFFERENT from the original sound, however, due to you not comprehending logic, you failed to grasp this important aspect. If you want me to make it sound like it CAN be used in the hip hop style YOU create (that no one here has probably ever heard), why don't you PAY ME MY HOURLY RATE and I'll flip whatever you want except for burgers and yandy.

You do you and may it all work out for you. I hope you find the samples you need so you can make the hip hop beats you want, and so you can sell em and get ya linings right.

Keep it crackin...

I can comprehend everything your speaking of. The fact is I told you plenty of times that I prefer to use sounds that sound good str8 off the bat according to my opinion, that way it saves me time and I can achieve the results I want in less steps. I know it's possible to manipulate sounds, but the fact is, I never said I wanted to. You should have left it at that and respected what I said, but NO, you continued to attack me with your sound morphing shit. I have nothing against manipulating sound and creating new sounds from other sounds, it's just not my major choice when it comes to percussion especially. I'll EQ, compress, layer, reverb,... no doubt, but to create a completely new and different sound from another sound sample, I usually don't prefer that especially with sounds like snares/claps, kicks, hihats/open hats,... because there's plenty of good sounds out there already. I will rather fuck with synthesis to be honest than to fuck with percussion samples, it makes more sense to create a new bass sound, lead sound, pad, string, 808 style kick, etc... Now that's truely starting from scratch with your most basic waveforms, sine, saw, triangle, square.... Usually, if I want a fat kick, I'll look for a fat kick sample that sounds close to what I want, I ain't going to look for a snare and flip it,etc... because I'm not looking to have fun. To me it's just a waste of time because the new kick I morph from a snare is going to end up sounding just like so many other kick samples out there. Why not just start off with a kick sample to begin with? That's the point I'm trying to make. Just as if I want milk, I'll go to 7-11 or Albertsons... and buy the shit, not milk the fucking cow. You get the fucking point, I like to go str8 to the most convient source, then see what I can do from there. For me it saves time and makes the most sense. If you want to explore and have some fun and be proud, then do what you do. That's all I've been trying to explain to you, yet you keep trying to counter act and force me into doing what you do. I do what I do, you do what you do.

oink and audionews.ru

Yeah, I've heard of that audionews.ru before, but damn, you need an invite code. The same with that oink. The only site I use currently is magesy.com, but they use rapidshare links which has rediculous stupid download time limits or the links are dead sometimes.

PM me if you willing to share an invite code. Or do you hate me and think I'm the most retarded, stubborn son of a bitch on the planet? lol I'm over it either way, I had a few laughs along the way, we'll never be able to agree or understand one another.

Now, why don't YOU show us that YOU can do the same thing? Go and take an acoustic snare, tweek it so it sounds like a 2 hi hats, a new snare and a kick. upload teh samples and give us the settings so we can verify that it is what you say it is. If not sit back and relax buddy,
I will when I get a day off, and I'll post it in here, it sounds like an interesting proposition.

Peace.
