Good Samaritan Gets Robbed

ROCK HILL, S.C. (AP) -- A man robbed a good Samaritan who had helped pushed his truck to a nearby gas station, police said.

Darvin Wayne Capps, 25, of York, was charged with strong-arm robbery in the incident, in which he pulled a razor blade and stole a necklace, according to a police report.

"It's getting to the point that it's hard to be a good Samaritan because you don't know who you're stopping to help," police Lt. Jerry Waldrop said.

Kevin Tucker, 21, said he will be more careful in the future, but still plans to help people when he can.

"Everybody's not like that," Tucker said.

According to the police report, Tucker and his girlfriend noticed a truck in the road around 2 a.m. Monday.

The driver asked the couple for money and a push to a gas station. Tucker used his car to push the truck and the driver asked again for gas money and to use a cell phone.

After using the phone and giving it back, the man pulled out a razor blade and started swinging at Tucker, according to the report.

Tucker's forearm was scraped. He said the man drove off after yanking off his necklace.

Police later arrested Capps, who had the broken necklace on him, according to the report. He remained in custody Wednesday.

If it was a choice between living and dying, I would, that's in regard to the plane shit. I dont' wear jewelry so I wouldn't have someone trying to snatch a necklace or anything like that. And I'm not DUMB enough to stop to help someone at 2am especially when they're asking for a phone and money. Use a fucking pay phone.

I guess I'm just not a "good" person by society's standards...but oh well, cause 100% of people are fucked up in their own way.

they didnt all know they were going to die on the plane, and i doubt, but i could be wrong, that youve ever seen some fool get his throat slit in front of you and then watch him bleed to death gasping for air on the floor like a fish out of water. also keep in mind that the wonderful saudi man tells you that you will be fine as long as you all stay seated and that he is going to take you back to the airport and the fact that no one has ever (at the time) crashed a jetliner into a building and killed everyone on board. The transript and the audio from at least one of the flights is widely available.

hahahah man i get you on not getting your throat slit by the box cutter, youd think there would be at least some struggle involved and other people might help you out, i was just talkin about the other fools on the plane after that happened, i cant really blame them for just sitting there as they glide into a building, they thought they won throat slit lottery and were going back to the airport.
