Good clubs/bars and other stuff in San Fran?

Visiting San Fran for the first time and i wanna check out some places. whats good? Im gonna be staying in Union Square for a week, so im gona hit the shops and the beach but im not sure where else to go.

go to the piers get some clam chowder or go to ocean beach at night for a bonfire.. clubs are clubs no matter where in the country you go to, but if thats your thing im sure some of the siccness fam can help you out with that..

16th & Mission/Valencia on a Friday/Saturday nite is pretty cool if ur looking to go to some bars. A lot of the people are scene/hipster but there are a couple hip-hop type places (Double Dutch). Plus u can grab a bacon-wrapped hot dog on the street and holla @ hella drunk beezies.

aint really feeling the valencia area anymore especially near dolores park. its turned into a border line castro. if youre gonna be here on the days of august 28-30, id hit up the outsideland festival going on at golden gate park. each day got a whole set of acts performing from zion i, beastie boys, david matthews, atmosphere, etc. depending on which day you go.
