not sayin if ellis should have won over kobe, but ellis' 60% from the field, for the month was the only the ninth time in nba history that that's happened, of any month. so yeah, maybe im saying he should have won.

Yes, he should have...and to think of how many shots he attempted each game. Those other guards on the list weren't really prolific scorers like Monta is beginning to become. Monta is taking like 7 or 8 more shots than any of the guys on that list, per game.

Sure, Kobe scores like 30 a game...but he's also taking hella shots to get it. Volume shooter.

hahaha i've watched the lakers my whole life. there goes that theory. i hate the bulls and i never liked michael jordan so you can throw that theory out the window too. and i've lived in the bay my whole life and watched the warriors for 10 years so you can throw that theory out the window too. nice try though.

but anyway, arguing with you is pointless...

your post contradicts itself...you say monta is taking 7-8 more shots than the other people, but say kobe is a volume shooter and takes hella shots.

but you're not even right btw. in the month of february, monta averaged 17.6 shots, and kobe averaged 18.4. and considering monta doesn't shoot threes or anything outside 19 feet really, his FG% SHOULD be higher.

and who are you talking about when you say "yes, he should have?"

Uhh...you don't think Kobe shoots way more than Monta ?

Kobe's attempts for the year...1,250

Monta's...845

And his FG% IS higher than Kobe's...

All I'm saying was that Monta...being only the 9th guard in NBA history to shoot 60%+ over the period of a month...is even more impressive...when you figure that he IS averaging that many shots per game...compared to the rest of the list...who were averaging around 10 shots per game.

Also, I was saying that Kobe shoots WAY more than Monta...and thats a cold hard fact...he attempted 405 more shots than Monta this season.

I am in no way trying to say that Monta is better than Kobe...in any way shape or form...but...I do think he deserved to get the player of the month. His efficiency was off the charts...and you can't deny that.

listen, we aren't talking about the year...we're talking player of the MONTH. and like i said and proved, their shot attempts for february were basically the same.

i'm not trying to downplay monta's 60% shooting. i think it's a great accomplishment. but i don't think that should outweigh the fact that kobe was statistically better in almost every category, especially since monta doesn't shoot anything beyond 18 feet and a large portion of his shots are layups.

monta is my third favorite player...don't think i'm trying to hate on him. i just want the warriors fans to take off their homer glasses and see that overall kobe was statistically better.

and if you actually look at what they have defined "efficiency" as, kobe's efficiency was higher.
