Did I say you told me what to believe? No, I didn't.

I said, telling others what to believe, which basically comes from you saying how "wrong" they are etc.

You can believe whatever you want, I have no problem with that. But you should try to respect people and their beliefs, rather than freaking out on them like a 5 year old that just figured out the world is a BIG place.

I'm in the same boat as you, I'm not religious. Although, I don't feel the need to label what I believe or myself.

It just seems to me that you are more aggressive than you need to be about this subject with the people you discuss it with. I understand it is probably an important topic to you, but my impression is that you think you are right about everything, and Christians--or anyone that believes in God or a God are wrong. When the fact of the matter is, you, we, everyone, doesn't know for sure either way.

Getting all uppity over something you can't prove is just ridiculous. I mean, why get so tense and worked up about something you can't finalize and prove? Why not just chill, let life do it's thing, and then see where you're at?

I think a lot of people come on here to kind of talk down to others about what they think, say, believe, etc. Religious folks aren't asking you to convert just cause they're telling you what they believe...now, the ones that do ask, they're just mislead idiots. Anyway, I'm not trying to get into a battle with you like this thread ended up to be...I was just saying I think you're a little bit angry about something, and it's not religious people, cause they didn't really do anything to you that you don't do to them...such as tell them they are wrong, or try to explain to them why your way is better or right. When in fact, you don't know if it's better or right, it just works well for you.

These religous debates always kill me. My ex-wife is a Christian & she's skanless & trifling to the fullest. She's very active with her church but still talks greazy 2 me & keeps a fucked up attitude. I'm a true beleiver in GOD but I don't knock anyone from being athiest. Most athiest are harmless while most Christains are violent hypocrites from my experience. Damn near all serial killers, cult leaders & dictators accross the world were highly religous.

I'm not talking down on religion but I believe a person should live there life as peaceful & happy as possible. If that includes living life w/o a GOD then that's there perogative.

I'm all for people finding their path in life and making themselves happy. But bashing others along the way is just a sign of ignorance. And yes, I've been in that boat. I think everyone at one point or another will bash someone or what they believe in. Just need to remember there's more important things in this world than what someone thinks about the after-life or the purpose of life.

Yeah right. You were mad at the Christian who sent you that letter. So then you get on this board and make a thread about how ALL people who believe in God are weak. You are not just bashing the guy who sent you a letter, you are bashing EVERYBODY who believes in God. Stockton took offense, which is understandable. You called him and indeed everyone else out who believes in God weak and started to bash them first. NOT just the guy in your letter. You're no more able to judge than the next person. Just because you think you're right doesn't mean you have to make sure everyone knows that you think you are right. Some situations will only get worse if each person thinks that type of thing. "Oh, I'm not the one that's in the wrong, so I can say whatever I want." Yeah, and then you'd be like a 5 year old not knowing when it is or isn't appropriate to say certain things...and most of those things aren't even "mature" in the first place.

I'm not trying to tell you this is how I live my life, I'm not perfect. I'm just saying, ideally, that's not a bad way to go.

It just seems to me that you have something to prove to people who say you're wrong. Why waste your time? Are you going to convert to Christianity any time soon? No. Do you think the Christians that are converting people are going to convert into Atheists themselves any time soon? I sure hope you don't think that. It's a pointless argument, that's all I'm saying.
