I got heat chuck (haha). Yea like Chuck said a Ric Rock beats ain't the only way, but shit it helps like a mothafucka...our shit is gettin spins and E-A- SKI produced it...Quinn's shit is gettin luv and Tone Capone made that...so hopefully in 2004 producers like myself and others who feel they got "major label" heat will get they shit heard on a massive level... also take into consideration the artist that Ric has produced for (Jay-Z, Busta Rymes, Xzibit...) that track record garnishes respect...I believe I got major label heat...I just ain't gettin major label bread yet (haha).
Ric Roc has produced for Jay-Z Busta Rhymes and a gang of other huge name muthafuckas that might be one of the reasons he gets alot of play on the radio because clear channel is strait east coast/mainstream so when you got artists of that calliber usin your beats you can get play anywhere.Ric Roc's Talent got him where he is he has a distinct style that just hit at the right time alot of producers are takin some of his shit I swear I thought he did that beat for RZA's single but I guess he didnt that sounds just like a Ric Roc beat.Its good to see him get that exposure cuz its well deserved.There are alot of hot producers in the bay that are about to get some good exposure just keep makin beats and keep hustlin and shit will be all gravy!!!!!
First off I never said that there is no producers with Talent like Rick Rock, Im saying the finished product dont sound the same! Man everybody can kid ya selves if ya wanna But NOONE is close to Ricks Level in The Bay PERIOD! This is what I mean to me Quinn got just as much Heat is 40 some might say more heat some might say less but until Quinn get his natinal shot he is no where near his level. everybody need their shot, but i will tell you like this People like Rick Rock, EA Ski those are PRODUCERS they sit down with the artist and PRODUCE the record. I will start a whole other post explaing what im saying.

rick rock is the man! rick rock beats isnt all it takes though! its the whole package! and most importantly the end result! theres alot of talented producers in the bay but without exposure WHO????????????????? theres a big difference between recordin&mixin at the homestudio you put together4 a couple g's and the $100,000-$1,000,000! night&day!sound quality period! some home studios sound good BUT those of us need to know are place! in order to compete production is very important on the next level! without it expect to be tossed by the big guys up top! just my opinion though!
