Puff paying like 75 racks per songs.......

here is what's fucked up about the game...when you have events where A&R reps from "big labels" are their and you go to showcase your demo....they keep your demo.....that's where they "steal" idea's from underground talent to use for big names.....i've heard many story's of people going to these events, submitting their demo's, then hearing their hooks or what not, on the radio...but they cant do shit, cause it wasnt copywritten....

COPY WRITE YOUR SHIT!

80% of all big named artists dont write they own shit, all u gotta do is look on the credits of the CD and u will see that they dont. for example today i was reading training day credits and I saw that dre didint MAKE the beat too " Still Dre" and he also didint write the song. So there goes a prime example. u would be surpised how many established acts have ghostwriters.

Dre hasnt "made" his own beats in years!!! Sad damn story...

If you dont have money to copywrite your music...do what is called the "poor mans copywrite"...

Send a copy of your demo and lyrics to yourself ( I know it sounds crazy).
When you receive it, DONT OPEN IT.
by doing this, you will have a post marked date of when you wrote it.
If someone steals your idea...you will have a postmarked date of when your idea was. if your date is before theirs was copywritten then it will be obvious that your idea was the first one.

It sucks to have your music and ideas stollen.

Don't believe the hype. It won't hold up in court. People need to come out of pocket and pay for an actual copyright.

This used to bwe called The Poor Mans' Copyright but this method is outdated.
Right on. I know.

The Poor Man's Copyright isn't just outdated though... It's never held up in court. People who are doing music need to realize that. In rare cases it could technically get you an out of court settlement, but that will be signicantly less than what you could get with a legal copyright.

Very true but back when people used that method music wasn't generating the millions it does now so people might as well do it right.

Easy E was a horrible rapper and writer. Cube wrote all his shit and in the studio Easy sucked in rapping, always messed up, took like 100 recuts to make a song.

Im not sure if Nas has a ghost writer, but i know he ghost writes for peeps. When he was in the Firm, he wrote all of Foxy's lyrics. He ghost wrote for Will Smith on the song 'Miami'.

B.I.G. was and still is Jay-z's ghost writer...

Ea-ski needs a ghost writer, his 16's ruins a song....
