Getting rust off of metal?

OK folks, help me out.

So I have a bicycle that I'm trying to sell to the bike shop because I'm moving in a month and don't want to drag it to my new place. It's a pretty cool lil' single-speed bike, I paid $275 for it a few years back, so I'd like to get at least $150 for it.

Here's the problem -- like a true lazy dumbass I left it locked up outside all winter instead of putting it in the garage, so now there is rust on all the screws and on the chain and shit. I'm thinking if I took it into the bike shop they are gonna say 'fuck yo' rusty ass bike, here's 5 bucks'.

So, I'm asking the sicc -- what is my best bet for getting rust off of the metal parts of my bike? Is there a product I can buy? Or am I basically fucked?

Good lookin' out folks, I'm going to try and get some navel jelly at the hardware store.... I'll give that a shot and hit it with some WD-40 afterwards.
