So I'm getting rid of my old D80 and now I want to get another Nikon. So here's some quick questions..

Is there any newer Nikons that shoot 720 in 30fps or more?
Should I get a dslr or are point and shoots pretty much as good nowadays?
Why is the Nikon Coolpix L120 so cheap?
Nikon D3100 or Nikon D7000?

:siccness:

id wait, Nikon is about to change the game.. they filed like 2 sensor patents for upcoming cameras.. d800 and d4 full frame cameras are dropping this year hopefully.

I heard a 5100 soon too, so the d5000 and d3000 are garbage anyways.

I like my Panasonic for video

hes laughing because he shoots with the d80... if you havent seen his work, it's dope!

i think were getting hella lazy with new technology.. its really handicapping our abilities to be creative with what we got because we're too caught up in technology

Yeah I kind of wanted the best of both video and image quality but the video quality on dslr's still aren't that great. Maybe I'll pick up a Sony TX100V for the mean time. I miss my D80 already.

Thanks for everyones input.

uhh....i think that about 95% of film makers would disagree with you. i think if DSLRs have good enough video to shoot shows like House, then its good enough for people like you and me

You want a point and shoot? Panasonic gf2, youtube the videos. Just know you are limited. You want manual focus abilities, aperture, shutter speed, audio control and a lot of other shit.
