Anyone who hates on hyphy is imo a bitter loser with no true connection with the streets and its youth. These threads are getting tiresome.. Anyone who embraces Mobb Music, yet rejects hyphy is a self destructive bafoon. As if Mobb Music gives a better message to our kids than hyphy,lol.. Every body out here really wants to be known as hard core and that shit is just so unbelievably childish to me. You people embrace violence and denounce fun. WTF is wrong with the Bay? I honestly do not understand where a lot of you are coming from with this attack on hyphy. There is a full internet assault on this shit. But i've noticed that the real Mob niggas and OG's that I know embrace hyphy more than anything. I have literally walked into a crack house, chilled, and listened to constant hyphy shit back to back for atleast 30 minutes, no mobb cuts. It seems as if only the Wanna-bes and internet personalities have so much invested in this Mobb Music shit while niggas on the block listen to what's hot. They don't usually give a fuck about the Bay blowin up, or Bay Area rap history, or none of that shit.. They just wanna hear their favorite rapper get them hubed. You niggas kill me on this shit. i agree with the people saying there needs to be a balance between the hyphy shit and the gutter shit. nobody wants to hear just one or the other. at least i dont. keep the hyphy shit movin but dont over saturate it. different artist are gonna bring different music, and with the bay being so diverse thats what brings out the music we hear. if every album i bought was 5 tracks mob shit, 5 tracks of shit thats gonna make me "ponder," and 5 tracks of hyphy shit, i'd be a happy person. why play out a particular sound? just dont ever forget WE were the ones who started this dummy shit, use it as a marketing technique, but bring other shit to the table too.

if hyphy wasnt gettin the mainstream play it is now it wouldnt have taken off at all and anyone supporting it would look goofy as fuck.. but since its one of the major things thats appealing to the mainstream audience due to its watering down and catering to clubz and femalez, everybody and their mama will ride the bandwagon...

if i wanted to listen to mobb music, i pop in some cougnut, some old glp, rbl posse-ruthless by law etc etc, too many cd's to name from back in the day but if i hear people today doing the same mobb beats same lyrics talkin about killin people its waaaaay boring, but i'll slap an old cd here and there, mobb music will leave an emtpy bank roll forever still does it

i'm 20 years old and this hyphy shit just started recently and its taking over peoples minds... thats why you hear people complain about "hyphy" music because music tends to affect society and the things people do or how they act
