Israel and Hezbollah Conflict
On August 6th, 2006, in an interview with Sky News, Galloway reiterated his support for Hezbollah, asserting that its actions in capturing two Israeli soldiers were justified on the grounds that Israel has been occuping parts of the south of Lebanon for 24 years and because Israel "holds thousands of thier compatriots as kidnapped hostages in thier dungeons". The interviewer stated that "one man's freedom fighter is another's terrorist", but despite of that, "in most people's eyes Hezbollah is a terrorist organization". In response, Mr Galloway stated that "in most people's eyes Israel is a terrorist state". He also blamed the media for being biased towards Israel and believing "that Israeli blood is more valuable than the blood of Lebanese or Palestinians".[32]
