Honestly, I don't see anyone stopping GGG. Maybe someone a la Ward/Mayweather could do it (depending on the weight), but this guy is relentless coming forward all the time. Not many can deal with that kind of pressure. You really need to be on a bicycle beating this guy. Canelo/Cotto are going to get smoked either way.

add Dawson and yes it does. Those were top prize fighters. Kessler had only lost to that faggot from England cant think of his name. Froch anniliated a lot of his other opponents. Closest thing to being an A fighter without actually being considered one
No it doesn't man. Most people in the boxing world don't think that highly of the Dawson win. His trainer talked about how absolutely dead he was from cutting weight he was a zombie. Dawson had to lose muscle mass for that. Think about it. Dawson doesn't KO anyone but he drops Dawson multiple times and stops him? Dead man walking into that ring.

Boxing historians love when fighters win world championships in multiple weight classes, that's the kind of stuff that gets u into the HOF and if Ward would have won a belt at 175 that goes a long way but he didn't do that. Beating Dawson at 168 is literally beating an unranked fighter in that division.

The only way Ward could beat him is if he has one of those refs that always ref his fights and Klitschko's fights, you know, the ones that allow fighters to cheat by excessive clinching which is of course against the rules but somehow guys like Ward and Clinchko are allowed to do it nonstop. So yeah, Ward would just be a much bigger guy so if he's allowed to keep wrestling him, smothering him and holding every three seconds by the ref he could probably get a decision in Oakland. If he's forced to actually fight he could be in trouble.

If we talking bout GGG then yes i fully agree. Cotto was bugging for even going up to 160
Yes we're talking about GGG. The majority of us here have said Cotto needs to drop the belt. However, if he is going to campaign as a MW champ then he is fair game. Personally I don't want to see the slaughter and feel Canelo is more at home at MW but he has his own weight class of Canelo Weight so who knows?

Let the man clear out his division and unify the belts like he's been trying to do for years.

He still can get a belt at 175. Just dont go the Kovalev route. Im not gonna pretend like Ward has a good shot of beating him but Kovalev seems big for that division

I know he can, but u were saying he would be in the HOF right now lol so obviously were talking about what he's accomplished up till today not what he might be able to do one day.

maybe just trying to get comfortable at 175. Heresy said hes fought at the higher weights but Ward seemed like he was meant for 168. Why hasnt Kovalev and Stephonson fought yet? That fight was suppose to happen like 2 years ago

The limit for LHW in Olympics is 165-176 (rounded up.)The limit for MW is 152-165.

So why is Ward calling out a cat that is way smaller and then, if the fighter asks for a catch weight, he says no? If GGG is asking for 164 catchweight that's 1 lb lighter than the LHW weight range in the Olympics so why is it a problem?

And Stevenson and Kovalev is not going to happen any time soon as BHOP did a bitch move. In addition, Stevenson and camp released the emails exposing HBO and Duva so it's most likely never going to happen. But you all fell for the lies Duva was saying but when those emails were released all you heard was crickets, lol. And get this, I have Kovalev to beat Stevenson, lol.

Honestly didnt see the e-mails and i know Stevenson is not solely to blame at this point. Its still terrible that the 2 top fighters in the division arent gonna ever fight eachother.

Yeah im not gonna make excuse for Ward not coming down in weight. My only guess is its become harder for him to even make 168.

yeah look at the size difference. GGG should be fighting at 168 at least. Now hes trying go after 1 of 2 fighters that arent really 160 lbs fighters. Sure is easy to pick on the smaller guys. Trying to clean out a very weak middleweight division isnt really anything spectacular. If you trying to build your name cool but dont give me shit of him really taking risks
This argument applies to Mayweather, not GGG. Mayweather made a career with this strategy. GGG is just trying to get all the belts in the weight class. I'm sure he'll move up when he's done beating the shit out of these fighters and get more money.
