I'm not sure if Skylanders started this trend, but I hate it. From a business standpoint, it's brilliant though. My kids have been asking for these types of games for like 3 years, I keep distracting them with other games though lol
We have a Super Nintendo with like 50 games that they play a lot. They also have a PS3 and play the crap out of Minecraft, Modnation Racers and the Little Big Planet games. They mostly play kinect games on the 360 if they play it at all. When they get a little older, they might be able to play some PS4 and XB1 games with me.
