Making shit up? The stats prove he wasn't getting burned like you say he was. But OK I'll give you the pass interference, that's ONE deep play you can come up with where Nate Clements was beat. Yet you act like he's getting torched on a weekly basis. As for who's men Devery Henderson and Randy Moss were, you can find Nolan's explanations on 49erswebzone.com if you feel like digging thru the Niner news (there's a lot of it), that's where I read Nolan's post-game interviews and that's how I know Devery Henderson and Randy Moss were not Nate Clements' responsibility when they made their big plays. Like I said, Nolan was the dipshit calling the plays and creating the coverages, I think he would know more about who covers who than you would.

Yes I understand that, but like I said you're blaming him for things that were not his fault. He does well against big time receivers and that alone should tell everyone he is a good CB. He might not be worth $80 million (it's actually something like $64 million because he'll never see the final 2 years of his contract), but he's still a very good CB.

It's all good I guess we see things differently. I strongly believe he was getting burned by those top receivers. What about when he was covering Terrell Owens? You can't deny it T.O. was lighting his ass up. Even Mike Singletary couldn't come up with a valid excuse.

TO torched him. No excuses there. He burned Nate and Walt as they rotated coverages. They shouldn't have been playing Owens in man coverage, especially since we had no pass rush. I mean, who the hell plays TO in man coverage with no pass rush? He needs to be double-teamed. I don't think there's a defender in the league that can consistently cover TO one-on-one. Not even your boy Nnamdi, or Champ, or McCalister, etc..

Just from watching the game... you can just tell who's man it was. And why would Nate Clements be playing "underneath" coverage against Moss? The 49ers don't run a cover 2. I don't care what Mike Nolan was saying (he was just trying to cover for Nate). Nate was always chasing receivers from behind because those were his men.
Go watch the game homie. I have it on DVR. It was a zone and Nate had the underneath zone. When Moss starts out running straight ahead Nate moves toward the middle of the field to cover his ZONE while Walt Harris tries to run with Randy Moss and TRIPS. On the replay the announcers even point it out.
And Nate is chasing them from an angle homie, that alone should tell you it's not his man - especially when you see another defender closer to the receiver. He's following the ball.
