No way.
Everyone is different and some people need time for shit to grow on them. I've never, ever, liked a CD "THAT MUCH" the first listen through.
It took me 1.5 years to "LIKE" E-40, after I first heard him.
It took me 2 years to "LIKE" Mac Dre after a friend played him for me.
Hmm yea thats a good point, same happend to me with E-40....but i was thinking in a somewhat different manner. You do have a point thoi.

It's taking even longer for me to get into some of the new artists coming out.

If I would have dismissed all the people ive listened to instead of giving them a chance, I would be listening to ZERO music.
Real talk. I think the Internet age has spoiled a lot of people--they tend to have a "I have to have everything right NOW" attitude towards things. My Pop used to say, "Delayed gratification is part of life," and I agree. Life is not a candy store that's gonna give what you want immediately. MD basically does what HE wants, even if others don't agree. I admire that. As long as his CDs basically entertain me, give me a good time, and make me feel great, then that's fine. YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

PEACE!

Okay I have listen to Al Boo on line. First let me say one love to N-ridaz for making this possible. They are changing bay rap sales. Because you can preview this undergroung stuff. well the guy above is correct. That song is Off of Rich the factor's Factorism album my bad, just heard it. And on there rich does sound a little like fat Tone.

But yeah about that al boo boo. IT'S SOME GROWN UP STUFF MANN! just like that last too short album. so tell your girl to put on that too little thong and do the do. While you do the thizzle dance after checking a fat bank roll. Mac Dre is freaking 32 or 33 damn near 10 years older than me. And I see that if it be god's will that I get to my thirties, oh boy! it will be big. thizzing with these 18 and up breezes. Man 18, 25, 27, 23, 24, 29,31,35,43 even to get me on my feet. Will probably all bow down. Oh and cheddar and grind wise it will truly retarted, if it bve god's will.

But the album sound cool mann. I like Mac dre "new style" it is grown up. And thats what the P.I. nation need more off. Playas get older and want to give they resign. Thats why let me give a one love shout out to Jay Tee from the V and PS. About Dre though you should have saw it coming after Tounge of a Pimp Heart of a hustler. Now that album was the 360 degree turnaround right there. Much love Mac Dre and I know ten years from know I will probably be bumpin the al Boo Boo like man this don't even sound to rowdy or gay to bump while I chill with my 28 and over hutch. Peace playas and keep it crackin and god bless.

P.S. The music that comes out nowadays will never play out or begin to sound old only a long time from now.

Well, I don't look at MD as being more "grown up"...it's more a case where he's not doing the "meaningful", political-type, "fuck the Crestside police" type songs from back in the day--he's mainly sticking to songs about the basics: gettin' bitches, sellin' drugs on the side if need be, jackin' folks for cash (once in a while), and celebrating his freedom to live his life as he wants to now that he's (been) out of jail.

I remember an interview Dreezy did w/ MURDER DOG in '99, where he said (in so many words): "I learned not to mess w/ the police, 'cause even if you're innocent, if they hate you badly enough, they'll find SOMETHING to nail you for." My guess is that MD feels that he's "done his bit" w/ the protest stuff back in '92/'93, and he just wants to enjoy life w/ no hassles, and his newer raps reflect that. As long as the CDs stay good-to-very good (if not classic), I'm cool w/ it (although I do draw the line, as most MD fans do, at MAC DAMMIT MAN & FRIENDS, which just didn't work. LOL).

PEACE!
