That is because hardly anybody supports 64bit OS's. Im running XP64 and only 2 or 3 of my programs actually run in 64 bit mode the rest just emulate the 32 bit mode. It is a hassle but I don't mind too much I just wish my TV tuner card worked in XP 64 but I put the 32 bit version on my second hard drive for that.

yeah i know but i cant even get the shit to install or nothin. its ok im gonna upgrade the os to business or ultimate anyways. its just a slight annoyance having to email my boss askin her to send me files, ya know?
on edit: speakin of which i can see which ones are in 32 bit mode in the task manager under processes (i think?). however, the cisco vpn wont even INSTALL. lol

XP was horrid when it was first released, but it got patched. Vista has the first Service pack and it has fixed some problems. If you want Eyecandy, get Linux. You can make it look better than Vista. Oh yeah, Linux is free.
