The bay is too fulla cats tryna bubble off the next up and coming rapper.. instead of just doin a track wit him, they wanna charge him, when in the east.. if you got heat.. you can git down... If we stop tryna charge a grip for beats and features we might be a army.. but since we so bizzy networkin for money... Thats why we dont hear the hottest unknowns no more... cuz the bosses wont put us on...Every label in the bay that got a name, only fuck wit cats if they can git some doe... I see this shyt all the time... we dont know whos gone go platinum first but we only try to insure we stay on top... Showcase did that piece on the new bay... thats perfect.. cuz now we gone step it up wit some young new blood wit HEAT.. and all theez old niggaz need to retire since you aint tryna stay on top with having the most fresh new label...Just like they wanted to charge me for features without even hearin how i spit... when I go platinum... they will be payin for my verse... aint no love nigga.... haha fuck the east coast ? nigga you sound like a hater to me. Theres playaz and hustlers everywhere , why you gonna hate on a whole coast just cause locksmith didnt win. man, you mustn't know about the tight ass underground over there, have you ever heard of cannibal ox, EL-P, or the definitive jux camp, them niggas are freakin hip hop innovators, they on some next level shit and they comin straight out of new york city.. shit i dont know how niggas could just make lame ass statements like "fuck the east coast" all youre thinking about is P-Diddy and Ja Rule and shit....

east coast has the upper hand because it has a certain stigma of being a leader in trendy new styles, this whole hip hop thing that done blown up was because the new yorkers made it all fun, fashion and dance friendly, that's their whole gimmick out there, just as the south has its dirty grimmy gimmick and LA with it's gangster gangster gimmick... i doubt niggas even think of the bay as a recognizable part of the U.S. thus we get know play, shit if anything the bay area is a microcosm in it's own, we aint no LA, NY, or down south, we got our own style that fools just cant seem to relate to unless they grown up or lived out here for a while...

Point blank... the East Coast got the media and most of the big time labels makin moves are out there. They don't even need to come out here and gamble on some gangsta gangsta west coast artists when they can get people on THEIR coast to come with something considered more COMMERCIALLY appealing.
Plus, I hear a lot of consumers (and artists)out here complaining about the west not blowing up when all they make is street music and never switch up.. that shit will almost never catch on. People have to keep up with the times and then come original with their own shit. Strictly gangsta and nothing else is a thing of the past as far as mainstream goes. Grant Theft
