YOU CAN PLAY THIS SONG ANYWHERE IN THE COUNTRY IN THE CLUB AND ON THE RADIO AND NOT KNOW ITS FROM THE BAY AREA. They make good music but i dont think they will be the ones to put the bay on... when you make street music you better somewhat be about it.. its important to have your cities support if the streets fuck with you thats a good start unless youre not catering to the streets... the streets dont really fuck with frontline like that cuz them niggaz aint no street niggaz far from it and thats not being a hater they would tell you that themselves..

what is "street" music? they dont rap about guns, drugs, or pimpin. and i know they dont do any of it. i know them both personally since junior high and their raps definately reflect who they are. you mention short as being "street". his old album cover with the caddy on the front isnt even his, it was ted bohanan's. he wasnt pimpin back then, he was rappin about the pimps he knew. he admitted it himself. i know keisha cole was never on the turf, but the bay supports her. its not about how you rap, its about how you rep your hometurf once you get some shine....

The single is aiight, there's worst shit out that gets played more. But the ea-ski beat ain't enuff to make that shit blow. Plus, in the video left comes out sorta funny style. However, the high quality dime pieces got me watching everytime. Still, it beats a video with jay-z posing in another boat/car or whatever the fuck he rents. Beats a tired ass b-real who's suddenly a latin king. Beats that coonin' walk it out video too. sheeiiiit....
About street cred, you don't need no street cred unless you're making d-boy music. You think the Pack got cred? Cats were clowned relentlessly, but they went top 10 in sac, bay, and la. Did big numbers out of nowhere. That street cred talk is why shit ain't blown up in the bay for awhile. You make the money and then you get the respect...like, you can pick up one or two c-bo's to add to the roster. sheeiittt....
