Frontline "The Bootleg 2.1" CD

as far as i know theres the bootlegg cd then the bootleg 2 ...and now i guess 2.1 , whatever that means. Im still waiting on the album to drop wasnt their album suppose to drop months ago, whats going on with that ? I hope frontline isnt another one of those groups that are hot then release a album once all the hype has died down cause it looks like its heading that direction.

When you are an independent artist shit is crazy with relese dates...We are making sure our album has a chance to live up to the hype...we are not just going to throw an album out because we are "hot" right now- that's the problem wit the rap game today (major labels and Independents) get something hot and rush out a half ass product trying to meet some deadline. If that was the case we would have put some shit out fresh from the MTV battles, but it wasn't time...We are not in the hunt for hotness, we are trying to achive greatness- and greatness takes time. I personally hate when a mothafucka hook me in wit a single and that's all they have to offer- fuck that. We are going to put out an album that we are proud of that we can put our name behind...and another thing is business moves, losses and gains alter relese dates as well...The album will be called "Who R You" it will be out soon, but puttin these albums ain't ass easy as you might think...So with all that typed, I hope that answers your question.

aight good shit man, i take your word for it you know more bout the music game than me. I aint tryin to be negative or hate , just remember back to when there was some new shit you wanted and it never dropped. Keep doing your thing i aint goin no where im sure the album will be fire. Can you give a ballpark, summertime winter time or what ?
All good I didn't take it as hate at all, to be honest I am glad that you are showing concern in the relese date of our project...and I feel you because, I am a fan of rap music as well...I luv buyin a nigga cd to see what new shit they brought to the game-how they put they fingerprint on this rap shit...If we stay independent we will be droping this early to mid summer, but if we work out some shit with some of these majors that's hittin us up then the date is out of my hands. That is why we put out the Bootleg 2.1, because we want to not just give the people that support us mixtape shit, but also some new orig. songs...so we put 3 new unrelesed tracks on there as well as "What Is It" (since hella people been trying to find out where to get it)...But we are that confident in our album, cause most people would be like "That song is what's gone sale our album, so i aint lettin it out"...we know we got more shit that we are fully confident in so we put it out there so people could get they hands on it...So yea homie, thanx for the luv...the shit will be commin soon though.

I kinda had the same question about when yall shit was comin out. I have the bootleg 2 and 2.1 and them shits is nasty! I respect the fact that yall rep the fuck out of the bay and Richmond, plus yall do it in a way that don't seem like yall goin out yall way to do it. Those new songs are sick too, yall cats be talking about something more then hoes, weed and pimping...yall street shit is more on some story shit. Like I said before I AM A FAN yall cats have convinced me...can't wait for the album to come out.
