Lets get real, the bay area rap scene and rap in general has changed and most people aren't into hard core gangster shit as much as they used to be. If the shit ain't got a catchy hook people dont wanna hear it. Fillmore rappers are getting more shine than the rest of the sco cuz they are honestly coming tighter than everyone else right now and they drop singles and are selling units. The rappers from HP etc aren't selling as much and ain't coming as tight as they did in like 95 and thats all there is to say. I don't think Cougnuts album resurfacing will make much of a difference either. Hes one of my all time favorites but I honestly don't think an album that has been locked away for like 5 years will do that well or create that much of a buzz, its never gonna drop anyways
