I dont post a lot in here....but this is why its taken the bay area so long to blow up. At all. Too much hatin going on. The town's better, the Sco's better. Doesn't anyone here just appreciate good music?
For number one, I agree that all this going dumb is starting to get old, everyone and they mama can do a hyphy track and get rotations.
Has anyone ever heard of Mistah F.A.B? For every "Kicked Out The Club" there's a "Where's My Daddy." Fabby knows how to put together an album - the club bangers (hyphys songs), and the more lyrical songs.
How about Heiro, Zion I, or Living Legends? Oakland, and I wouldn't say they are anything near hyphy music. If you are looking for lyrical, I can't think of anyone better in the game.
Don't get me wrong, it's not that I'm from the town or anything, but there's a lot of hate being thrown at Oakland cuz of this hyphy shit. I have to agree, Frisco is coming out with the doper songs right now.
But who cares?
Can't we all just be from the bay?
Until that happens, the Ying Yang Twins will rule the club banger genre (our stereotyped Oakland music), and I don't know, T.I. or somethin can rule the more serious songs (the San Francisco stereotyped music).
Frisco can still be gay, Oakland can still be cracked out. Both cities have their weak points, but from talking about how you heard some Frisco music in Alabama to talking about Frisco coming out with better music right now to straight up calling out each others cities, thats some internet bangin at its best.
I don't give a fuck if you're black, white, green, midget, geek, thug, grandma, whatever. Good music is good music. Appreciate what these rappers are doing, step your game up, and support the BAY AREA.
Fuck a T.I, fuck a 50 Cent, fuck the Ying Yang Twins (although I heard they chose rap over academic scholarships to Harvard), fuck a Young Joc, fuck a Bubba Sparx (even though Deliverance was good).
Every region in the country except the bay is uniting. We have the best music, the most diverse music, all we gotta do is come together and show the fuckin MTV drones that for every Ms. New Booty there's a U and Dat, comin straight out of your fuckin backyard.

I have to be brutally honest here, I work in Richmond and network all thru the town, and no one out here takes San Francisco seriously as a hard core city, I mean really. There's always the niggas that fuck with city niggas, and network out there, but as far as the general opinion, niggas crack jokes on Frisco all day. Just last week I was at work and some nigga said some gay ass shit, (just playin around) and my nigga was like, "C'mon cuz, we ain't in no San Francisco".. That is the natural belief that people have across the bridge, no one really likes Frisco coz it's too weird. And for them to wait all these years, after Oakland has been mobbed/Pimped out for over 2 decades, now that we finally have something new, niggas wanna jump on that opportunity and try to build a name for them selves based on what Oakland is doing, just crazy. So as soon as 2 Oakland rappers start getting hyphy, ya'll niggas is some how more hood now? Oh, I forgot, San Francisco has always been the murder capitol of the Bay. Oakland niggas don't sale dope, pimp bitches, pop niggas, rob, steal, and kill. I forgot, Oakland only has two murders this year because everyone "in the streets" is too busy getting hyphy. i dont rep the bay, i rep the city. its because frisco is different from every other city in the bay area. its the same reason why oakland/vhoe/rich folks do the same thing because all those cities got their own cult. people who usually rep the entire bay are from some ol garbage ass city like redwood, daly, san mateo or something.
i met some folks from LA at a party last weekend who kinda observed some shit... we were sayin that there doesn't seem to be as much respect/love for other neighborhoods in the bay... you walk into a party and most times its, "where u from?" instead of "wassup"... supposedly as opposed to all of LA, which is united as one.

i was with you for a little bit but then what you said started to make no sense at all....how u gonna say that all of L.A. is united....THEY INVENTED gangbangin and you cant even cross the street with the wrong color on in a lot of parts...I'm from Fillmoe but have family that bangs in Long Beach. If you were to tell anyone in Long Beach that they live in L.A. they would get mad as fuck, just like you tellin someone from Oakland that they were from Frisco. The bay is way more united than L.A. and it's not even close.
