For $1150 that's an amazing price. Throw in an SSD later and that's a dope computer. You might have to switch out the cpu cooler also, not sure if Dell goes with a stock cooler or not, those i7's get hot as fuck.

I built my current rig 2 and a half years ago, put in a 10 year old DVD drive from another computer, used it one single time and that was just to load the OS on the computer lol

most PC games are digital, a lot of stores don't even sell PC games anymore.

Places like Steam, Green Man Gaming, etc. will be the best places to get games.
