Former G-Unit rapper Mazaradi Fox was shot and killed in Queens, New York, on Friday (January 3), while sitting in a car. He was 42 years old.

The shooting occurred at approximately 4:10 p.m. at the corner of Farmers Boulevard and 133rd Avenue when the shooter pulled up to a white SUV and let off multiple shots that struck the rapper and at least three other people, according to the New York Daily News.

A suspect has been arrested in the death of a rapper caught in a hail of bullets in an SUV in Queens last month.

Jamal Green was killed when someone fired into the SUV full of people on Jan. 3. Three other people were injured in the attack.

Authorities say Green was a rapper who performed under the name Mazaradi Fox and was a formerly associated with rapper 50 Cent.

Police said Tuesday that 35-year-old Jamal Scott has been arrested in the attack. He faces charges including second-degree murder, attempted murder and felony assault.

It was not clear whether Scott had an attorney.
