iight iight im interested in copping a 1997-1998 mustang GT 5 spd. the car looks like its in tip top condition, but it has 128k miles. is the milege going to be a really big issue? i mean milege is fuckin milege. its all about how you maintain the vehicle. some opinions please. and if you're a FORD hater, dont reply. thanks

oh yeah ASKING price is $5700.00 which is high KBB i know i can get it lower.

The reason why im looking for something under $6000 is because I have a 1998 Honda Civic and plan on selling it after I cop a new ride and take that money and pay off the future current loan (mustang) and then cop a Yamaha R6. ive always liked the 95-98 mustang body style. Looks like imma check it out. we'lll see what happens.

heres a couple pix of the car im interested in.

yea, it all depends on how the original owner kept it maintained. but it was made in the good ole U.S of A, so it most likely have a few problems with 128k miles. but like i said, if the original owner kept it in good ass runnin' condition 4rm the day it rolled off the assembly line, u prolly only have 2 worry bout lightweight minor problems....

Thats light weight pricey. My sister copped a '99 Mustang with only 56,XXX for only $2,600. I think it has hella miles tho for that price, And most folks know that American cars don't last that long.

For $2600 something has got to be wrong with the car. most likely been in a major accident or salvaged.

is it a V6 or V8?

I would not pay $5700 for that '98 though. thats just an asking price. im sure as hell i can get it down to 4500

It's a FORD.......I wouldnt buy it with that many miles.

Just kidding. I had a 02 Mustang Convert, I just traded it in. I wish I would have never got rid of it. I am thinking about getting a new Mustang.

I would say go for it. From the pics it looks like it is in good condition.

^^^ my boys roommate has a 2003 R6 with 5k miles on it. Well maintained had everything done at the yamaha dealership. its only a commuter. he barely rides it plus he's in his 30's. he has hella cars and ive seen how he has taken care of all his rides. GXsr is a wild bike man i'll stick with the R6 since a few of my boys own one. i like the body style as well.

uhhh..... sure about that..... dude my dads ford ranger lasted 300,000 miles.... one engine overhaul thats it... my 5.0 had 150,000 miles on it.... ran like a champ.... all u gotta do is take care of it..... and if the fuckin motor blows.... save 3-4hundred bucks and buy a new one..... as long as u take care of it and dont do careless shit the car will run fine

I always thought those were the worst body shapes of the mustangs......but yeah, 128k is a hell of alot. I bet you can find something cheaper with less miles

LOL @ everyone thinking the car is done because it barely has over 100k on it. Shit, I've know people whose cars are 300k-400k and still running.
