those art students stay in dormitories that you cant get into

and they pay 2000 a month

put bluntly you pay for what you get
if you dont have atleast 900 to spend i wouldnt even look at soma

and youre only gonna get a in-law or a studio for 800-900 and chances are it will be shitty

sutter is damn near nob hill so i wouldnt even look there

stick to outer richmond and outer sunset

if you have an asian friend get them to look in the asian free mags that come out weekly in the back they got hella rents but they in chinese and shit.

chances are you wanna find a roomate..or two..or three..
if i could get a job up there id split rent. might be moving up that way myself.

thanks for the info gas. Im gonna go to SFSTATE next year so Im just trying to soak in the city as much as I can before I move. I got a friend that lives on Minnisota by the 22nd avenue train stop, what about rent and living conditions around there? It seems pretty nice (well maybe not the projects on the hill but everywhere else.) Wouldn't sunset and richmond be more expensive since its more suburban?

richmond and sunset are full of houses and inlaws. theres more rents out there and for that reason theres better prices.

ask your friend what he or she pays..

if i were you, and you really want a good place...hire one of them companies to email you/send you rents..its sorta hard looking around the city. you just gotta make it damn near a job and anything that makes it easier for you might be worth it.

finding a place might be easier now..i lived there during the dot.com boom and it was hell to find a place..

got kicked out of my dorm and they gave me 48 hours to find a place...ive never hustled harder in my life

i go to sf state now and if you dont have a car i would suggest living in the villa apartments around the campus...they dont charge to much cuz they know students are broke...if you fuck wit 2-3 other roomates its like 500 a month
