The test isn't mocking God, the test was done because a religious group did a very small "scientific test" (I think involving 50 people) several years ago and they claimed it "proved" prayer helped the majority of these people.

When a claim like this is made, it is the Scientific communities responsibility to investigate further and conduct their own tests, which they did on a much larger scale.

patients who get better after a prayer, (which happens at the same rate as when they are not prayed for) suffer from diseases and conditions that can be cured or reversed

Nobody ever in the whole history of humanity has recorded an amputated limb growing back or something like that, no matter how hard the person was prayed for
