do you guys use instrumentals or the actual songs....or lower the vocals?

do you guys make a show cd, you know blend the songs at the ends and beginnings, or just track 1,2,3 etc on the cd?

I personally like making a show cd, make it sound like you got a DJ mixing ya shit....ultimately I want instrumentals on vinyls and have the DJ mix it.....

but allways have your performace planed in incraments of 5,10,and 30 min all on one disc
and maybe a print out sticker on it (some dj's can not read...no chit)
so do let it explan it's self
in case someone did not show and you can use up that time the promoter will love you for saving they ass and you get more time!!!!!!

i been doing stand up comedy for the past month in downtown seattle and they got a open mic night and it is so sad to see some rookie fight with the dj for the track that they wanna do.....real sad....and that ain't look cool

I make a show cd. I blend the end of the track to a filler beat and then to the next song. It gives me time to speak on some shit and interact with the crowd. But just instramentals.

On songs with a singer on the hooks, i keep his background vocals and just let him sing the main line. That is, if he can make it to the show. if he can't be there, then i just take out those tracks or sub someone else in.
