I thought it wasn't on the line and Canelo was being stripped of the title? Even if that were true, WBC will make this fight for the title since they suck Floyd's dick

Also, I know you'll hate me for this 206, but does it matter for his legacy if Floyd unifies the 154lb title if he wins here? He would have to be Ishe Smith and Baysangurov lol

Lol that would be one of the rare times that unifying the titles wouldn't mean much. His legacy would be better off fighting guys like Lara, Kirkland, etc. Smith means nothing, I don't even know who the hell the other guy is!

But I reckon Floyd will go back down to 147 and fight the Matthysse Garcia winner next.

What sucks is, if Floyd fought anyone at 147 right now it pretty much won't matter either. I think he'll tax anyone moving up from 140. He's not gonna fight Berto cause that ship has sailed. He won't fight Broner. He won't fight Lara. It's getting to be slim pickins out there. I'd still like to see a Pacquiao fight, screw it.

B @bigface , et al you shitted on Pacquiao for "draining" Cotto when he fought him at 145.

This fight is at a catchweight of 152 pounds.
Despite Mayweather being a title holder at 154.

Quote from Mayweather prior to fighting Cotto:

"I look at Miguel Cotto as an undefeated fighter because he faced Pacquiao, but Pacquiao caught him at a catch weight. He wasn't the best Miguel Cotto. He was drained. He wasn't hydrated."

"I would never want to put a fighter in a position where he's not comfortable. I want a guy when he's at his best. If he's at his best at 154 and he's strong and he's solid, then that's the fight we're fighting at. I walk around at 150, but at the end of the day - skills pay the bills.... Give me the guys where they are comfortable at their weight so there are no excuses."

With that said I think it's a good fight, I just wanted to point out the hypocracy of Mayweather and his fans (or as bigclit likes to say "double standards").

At first I fell into the Khan talk a little bit, but like I said Floyd will fight Canelo next. Too much money involved. Plus Canelo has stamina problems.
Lol. Look at the Manny fans mad that Mayweather is still the PPV and making the big fights. I don't like the catchweight but Mayweather wanted the fight at 147 and he made the fight at 152 to get the fight done Canelo will still be 165 -172 on fight night. Mayweather should've made his ass come down to 147, like Ward did Dawson, but 206 and the media gave Ward full credit. Mayweather learned a lot about media and fans after Manny won fighter of the decade with all of his big fight where at catchweights. Mayweather is doing what all the big dogs do Sugar Ray, Chavez, B-Hop, Oscar fought big fights at a catchweight. Fuck it he didn't get no credit for doing it the right way for 44 fights, catchweight it is. Bob Arum or Team Manny and the superfight is done in three weeks. Lol at 206 looking like a Cornball and his Mayweather is ducking so and so campaign has ended.

Will the fans call Canelo weight drained after Mayweather gives him a boxing lesson?

HBO is looking real dumb now. Lol..

If Mayweather beats Canelo he will be the lineal champion at 154lb too. That will even him up with Manny at 4 lineal titles in 4 weight divisions. We got a real superfight on our hands.

Fun stuff

bigface said:
Manny beat these guys because they were weight drained.
bigface said:
They were all weight drained and lost the fight on the scales before even coming to the ring.

bigface said:
Manny demand all his opponents to come in the ring weight drained

bigface said:
No weight draining and Cotto's new trainer Diaz will make it a different fight. Cotto will be fighting Manny with a actual gameplan this time around. Cotto adding Diaz and leaving Top Rank was the best thing he did for his career. Seems like the Manny fans are scared that a non-weight drained Cotto would put a beating on Manny this time around.

Floyd opened as a -270 favorite. Put all your money on Floyd by UD. Bank on it. Canelo don't have the work-rate or stamina to hang with someone as skilled as Floyd. Size will not play a factor because Canelo is not a pressure fighter, he's a boxer-puncher who takes long stretches of time off to catch his breath. (really wish he would have better stamina, he's only 22 but gets tired so easily).

It seems to me like his trainers don't train him correctly. At his age, he's pretty skilled but he's definitely missing a lot from being an elite fighter

I've never been big on him either. He doesn't really seem to have done Manny that much good. He's definitely the most famous one out there in the boxing world though.

I think he was good for Manny when Manny actually did what he said. Seemed like Pac kinda went all diva and stopped doing what he wanted.

But one thing Pacquiao always had was great stamina (except recently but that's probably age/shop worn).

That and the alleged cramping thing. I was always curious if some of those drills he would have him run were messing up his legs. Probably years of that running path he runs doesn't help but typically cramping is a dehydration issue.
