I thought Mayweather beat ODH pretty decisively. I really don't see how anyone could have picked ODH honestly. I mean, just look at the numbers:
Oscar landed just 122 total punches on 587 thrown (21%
While Mayweather landed 207 total punches with just 481 thrown (43%)
The only thing Oscar did was throw more punches, basically little flurries here and there that didn't do any damage at all and most punches were blocked or missed completely. The pro-oscar crowd would go crazy every time he had one of these flurries, but what they failed to realize was that only a tiny percentage of shots actually hit Floyd.
Plus you also have to factor in that ODH was at least 12-15 pounds heavier and Mayweather is naturally much smaller, which is why Floyd didn't simply dominate the fight and knock him out.
There is a reason Floyd is P4P King. He is very efficient with his punches, he lands a very high percentage of his shots, while his opponents always land a very low percentage. In fact, he is the best in the entire sport at it. Compubox has a plus/minus system made, and Floyd is at the top with a +30 rating, which is unheard of:
COMPUBOX EXCLUSIVE PLUS/MINUS RATING SYSTEM
Overall Connect. % | Opp. Conn. % | +/- Rating
46% | 16% | +30
This remained true for the ODH fight as well, as the numbers I posted above show.
