Yo bigface the reason no one is calling Williams out is because he aint the business anymore and it wouldnt do much for them. Dude took a huge step back over the last year or two. No one wants to fight Martinez including Manny, my boy Floyd, Chavez or honestly anyone. He is the toughest fight out there in my book. Now u know if I feel that Floyd doesnt want to fight him then it must mean sumthin because that is hard for me to say haha. Got Em!!

I aint disrespecting Paul at all and I still think he can get back in this race but I dont think he wants none of Canelo and in fact he would probably get knocked out by Canelo and it would probably end his career. I think after Martinez KO'd him he wears that fear on his sleeves more than most and he just doesnt look the same. I would love to see that fight but I think Canelo would smash! Got Em!!

Never knew the criteria to being a boxing fan was considering Paul Williams the most feared man in boxing. No one said Williams can't handle himself in the ring anymore, just that feared label is a thing of the past. If he does fight Canelo that's exactly the point, whether he wins or loses, there's no way they'd risk Canelo's undefeated record and star power to the "most feared man in boxing".
If Canelo beats Paul Williams he will be ready for Mayweather or any other top 154lber. Not once did I say you are not a boxing fan if you don't root for P-Dub. I'm just saying that Paul William don't duck anyone and he doesn't fight bums, so boxing fans should respect him a TRUE WARRIOR.. And if or when Canelo vs Williams happens I think Paul will beat Canelo..

I guess Kirkland won't be ready till October from his injury so that's why he's not available.

What Canelo needs to do is get some experience against a counter puncher. Lara for example is a great fight (although he'd probably lose). Canelo has really never fought any good counter punchers in his entire career and he has no real amateur experience either. What is he going to do when he gets in the ring with a guy like floyd and he's never even faced a counter puncher before? Most everyone canelo has ever fought comes forward and that's about it.

What do u mean if he beats Williams he would be ready fro Mayweather? Do u think he would beat Mayweather if he beats Williams? Not sure what being ready means? Whether he beats Williams or not he wouldnt beat Mayweather regardless in my book so Im not sure he will ever be ready for Mayweather. To me Mayweather wont lose a fight unless he stays in to long and lets father time hit him in the ring. Thats the tough thing about boxing and sports in general. why do people hate/doubt canelo so damn much, cat seems humble and very respectful. Give canelo his props, he seems to be willing to fight anyone they throw at him, good thing for him he has good promoters so they tone him down a bit. Besides who the fuck was manny "peds" pacquiao and floyd "gets off on beating women" mayweather fighting at the age of 21?? should we go back and discredit all those fights

what people are saying are just a couple things. one is he's not ready for mayweather. that's not a diss just the honest truth.
the other isn't really Canelos fault, but the wbc has obviously done a lot of things to give him easy fights and of course he won the belt fighting a terrible opponent who wasn't even in the weight class in Matthew Hatton. so some people are annoyed by that while the rest of the 154 pound division are beating eachother up. people don't like when guys get special treatment, especially if they really haven't accomplished much.
but like I said canelo is dope, he can be a huge star. fighting Williams is definitely the right path to become a credible champion.
