yea i modded mine myself, and i ordered that same sata port thing awhile ago. its simple as hell and theres a couple ways to do it, they now got it so you just boot from a cd and go through the prompts and your shit is flashed , still need the sata thing and the connectivity kit if your drive is a lite on
I've got mine modded aswell, you are still able to play online and you won't get banned unless you download and play the wrong games online wich are not stealth.
You can check if your games are stealth or not with the program XDVDMulleter.
There is also a special way to burn your games on disc. Wich I can post up later when I got more time.

i learned everything from those links i posted, just read around first before u try it out so you can understand it all. there all kinds of tutorials, what kind of drive u have? thats step 1 right there, theres 4 types of dvd drives out there and its a lil different setup for each drive

im hella cool off fucking with my xbox. the moment you do any of that shit = warranty go bye bye. i really doubt ill ever see red rings but im not trying to have my warranty or my ability to send it back to microsoft fucked off.
i still buy music...and i own a ipod a cd burner and a dvd burner..i know its unimportant to most people but alot of people like to look at album covers and inside and back covers and shit.i appreciate stuff like art in instruction booklets. when i buy a new game, i like to sit down and actually read the instruction booklet first for small tips and shit. it just makes the game more interesting.
i might buy sf4 today after i go pay my traffic tickets off and get a haircut...prolly get it on ebay hella cheap or somethin

Yeah, i got someone in WA doin mine, for like $40.. they also fix red rings and replace disc drives and led lights. One of my Xboxes went out and i got a new Jasper, which is the best made xbox model right now and quitest. Do a search for iXtreme. MS just started making some games with a different wave, so that you can play it. But you just gotta flash ur system with the new iXtreme and ur set. Then i got someone for back ups around $6, on Verbatim's stealth patched. I've had two modded boxes, play on live every day and have been fine. Couldnt even resist playing GOW2 early and was still good. It's worth checkin out.
