If you want bigger awards, file your FAFSA earlier. Pell grants are guaranteed no matter what, but some of the State/College grants (and waivers) have deadlines.

Don't get loans unless you need them. Buying stupid shit doesn't count either. If you do get loans, make sure they're, 1) SUBSIDIZED (no interest until after you graduate), and 2) FULL DEFERRAL (no payments until you graduate).......anything else, you're going to get fucked.

yea i talked to this girl and she said i should have did it before march 3rd....now shes saying before theend of this month to get sumthin else.bt the authentic deadline is like june or august i think

It all depends on what kinda FinAid your getting.....if its a Pell Grant/Cal Grant you don't have to pay it back, if its a Federal Direct (Stafford) Loan you start paying it back after you graduate....but in all cases in order to maintain eligibility for FinAid you must meet the Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements....

You can appeal to your college's financial aid office and try to become "indepedent" (for FinAid reasons), it's not easy though.....

and thats you get the money back from payin for tutition but the money that you already accepted from the Financial aid you still gotta pay back. its a loan you always gotta pay loans back. but the money you get back from withdrawling early you can use that money and pay off a big amount for the amount owed to the finanical aid thing.
