Anyone seen this movie? It stars Jet Li as a late 18th century martial arts hero who takes on foreign fighters in order to win respect for China. Personally, I thought it was an absolutely brilliant movie - probably my favorite movie of all time actually.
If you have seen it, did you see the original version, or was the American edit bastardised like the Australian version? In the original, Jet Li flees the city and is rescued by a village people (a blind girl named Moon and her grandma). Supposedly, in the original, members from a neighbouring village harass a boy from Li's village and he fights a Thai boxer to win respect for his village, but in the Australian version they edit that fight out. Did they do the same to the US version or is it just here?
