Vikings picked up Javon Walker who had 3 or 4 seasons with Favre and Greg Camarillo from the Dolphins, who had the most receptions without a drop last season. It does hurt us that Rice will be out.. I wouldn't rule the Vikings out of anything yet.

Vikings got some brutal upcoming games:

Lions (They've shown that they won't just "role" over and die)
@ Jets
Cowboys (0-2, will be out for blood)
@ Packers
@ Patriots

I wonder if Favre is thinking he should've just retired, lol

EVEN IRON CAN FRACTURE

October 25, 2010
Brett Favre has a fracture in his left ankle that could put him on the bench and end his NFL-record consecutive games streak.

Minnesota Vikings coach Brad Childress said Monday an MRI revealed the injury after the 28-24 loss at Green Bay on Sunday night. Childress said the 41-year-old Favre is wearing a walking boot.

Childress said Favre's streak will not affect his decision whether to play him Sunday at New England. The coach says they have to do what what's right for the Vikings.

A bigger question might be whether Favre would come back if sidelined by injury. He and the Vikings (2-4) are struggling badly a year after advancing to the NFC title game.

Favre threw three interceptions against his old team, the Packers, and hurt the ankle when he was hit on one those plays. Afterward, he acknowledged that his left ankle was hurt and it didn't sound like a lock that he would play against the Patriots.

"If I can play but not be effective, then it's not worth playing," Favre said. "I hope I use good judgment, so we'll see, I'm no spring chicken anymore. I don't heal as quickly. I know the heart's in the right place, though, I know I left it on the field, it just disappointing that it didn't work our way."

Favre is also the subject of an NFL investigation into allegations that he sent lewd photographs and suggestive messages to a female New York Jets employee in 2008. Favre met with an NFL security official last week but has not publicly addressed the allegations, which were posted on the Deadspin website.
