What was your favorite movie of 2011? I'm not going the way of doing any kind of elimination process because I don't think there is that much of an interest in determining a best siccness movie of 2011. So, simply state what your favorite movie was. That's all.

This really shouldn't come as that much of a surprise but, looking back, the movie I enjoyed the most was The Tree of Life. This has everything to do with the style of film it is and how it relates to my taste. Key word: favorite. I'm not saying this is the best film of 2011 because I know it is not a favorite of very many people. Definitely takes an acquired taste. I really enjoyed the movie and I'm always on the lookout for films like it.

There is one movie pending: The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo

I am going to watch it this weekend and there is a chance that it could end up being my favorite. Until then.

i tend to say this almost every year but this year was really a bad year for movies. It makes the previous years look phenomenal.

I missed a few like The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo for example and a bunch of indie movies I want to check out but still...

The only movies that come to mind are Drive and I don't know, 'Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy' maybe.

Nothing really stood out last year.

This sums it pretty much up: "The year 2011 was notable for containing the release of the most film sequels in a single year, at 28 sequels."

I liked a couple movies, but none of them made it into my favorite movies category.

Hesher was cool, I also like The Beaver. Haven't seen The Submarine yet though. Attack The Block was entertaining. Warrior was good too. Rum Diary wasn't bad. Haven't seen The Skin I Live In or Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy. The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo was a remake, only watched the original.

I agree that 2011 was a bad year for movies, a couple decent ones but nothing that stood out ( missed quite a few, The Girl with the Dragon tattoo is one I want to see ).

Drive was very disappointing ( imo ) the movie is extremely violent at times ( EXTREMELY VIOLENT ) but take away the slow cinematic scenes and this movie is 35 minutes tops. Dont get me wrong its not a bad movie I just expected more from it.

you make it sound like a bad thing. speaking of thing, you know The Thing from John Carpenter was remake too right? guess that shouldn't be watched either lol. i agree remakes made early can sometimes be stupid but TGWTDT was a very good movie plain and simple. you're missing out on not seeing it.

The movies are like two years apart. I don't really watch a movie twice in such a short period of time. Maybe I will check out the remake in a couple of years. Or is it that different? From the previews it looked exactly like the original...

oh i here ya. no it's not that different at all. it is the better of the 2 though so whenever you have the need to rewatch it i'd go to the one you havent scene. Fincher is just the better director with the bigger budget, and the better actors. dude was born to direct this trilogy IMO. it fits his style perfect.

Only bitch is u folks, learn how to comprehend a sentence before u try to clown.

SMH...
hey hey hey, way to bunch us all up asshole lol. seriously though i get what you're saying about drive but it wasnt even the story that i liked so much it was everything surrounding it. the style of how it was made, when you take out the style of the movie it really is just a generic plot thats been done many times before but to me that was the beauty of it. but the movie is definitely not for everyone.

I agree with u, not a bad movie like I said but I just expected more, I felt like they spent much time on the cinematics which made the movie drag for me,
