Well here is a reply from DJ KOOL KID -He said he bought the masters from a guy named Chris from Deathrow records here is KOOL KIDS reply from an email we recieved.

fam, i just got fwd'd an email from dj butta and did not know the situation went down like that. The dude Chris (used to work for death row, way back) hollered and said he got some unreleased pac stuff and he would mp3 the songs to us if we give him $300. We said cool. He sent them, one by one, and that was pretty much it. I specifically asked him if he cleared the songs with whoever he got them from and he said we good. He never sent any credits or anything like that. We didn't even know that ya'll had that out in the bay until last week when somebody mentioned it in an email. we stopped production right then. about 600 total was spread out to a few websites already at that point so it's out there. We had did a cd w/ paul wall at the same time and just worked that heavy.
We respect the work u did as we respect everyone's work. this wasn't a jack move or anything like that and we do apologize for the situation. If u have anything from u or ur artists that u need played holla & mp3 it it here and we got u.

Yes hes took credit for the whole CD and listed no production credits besides feat. Artist like he made the production.Claimed to have done Verse and Mikes production.
mixtape masters go for around 150 to 500 to a mixtape dj. then they have to hustle it off quicker than the other dj's. sounds to me like a simple misunderstanding. i mean after all pac is an all time favorite for a lot of people. and a dj tryin to husle loves to get fresh shit from pac. but i mean if he was a "real" pac fan he would have seen this was just a bunch of remixs and shit and wouldnt have went forward. id say both sides got hustled a bit but fuck it. if the real record has distrobution hit his market, take it as 600 samplers in his area hustled for you and work his region and stores and get dough.

what up yall, dj pimp is in this bitch. i'm out in cali right now doin that hustle thang. just left versatyles wedding, shit was tight. meeting with mosley tomorrow about this new keak record and of course i gotta slide thru assassins tomorrow as well. a trip to the bay aint even worth it if i dont get to get down with assassin while i'm here. as far as dj kool kid, he has reached out several times trying to squash this situation. he is one of the biggest dj's in nyc and shoulda known better. i've had e-mails from england, france and even africa from cats who were trying to give us a heads up about kool kid jackin this cd. he took the whole cd, and just changed the cover. jackin trax or even bootlegging is just part of the game, but in all my years, i never heard of someone jackin a whole cd and claiming it as their own. kool kid had no idea, that assassin has as big a fan base as he does. i'd say 75% of assassins fans are from europe and asia. without getting into details, i'll just say that a few of his fans showed up at a club that kool kid spins at lookin to "talk" to him. he has promised to pull all of his cd's from the sites and to give up this so called "chris" guys contact numbers. we at steady mobbin wish kool kid and his peeps well. this project was never about money, so we aint trippin on that, but assassin and all the others that helped assassin make this record for the fans, worked hard on this project and we'll be damned if we let some cat throw his own cover on it and go on all these sites claimin he put it out himself... holla at a pimp

Assassin the damage is done since dude put the CD out already. Thats pretty messed up. The business is shady like that. All you can do is take the negative and turn into positive. He did holla at you about about gettin you/your camp on his stuff. if i were you, i would network my ass off. He do have a name out there. I would get your self and any artists associated with your camp on there and use the opportunity to promote yourself but you probably have your own plans to handle the situation.
